Being new to the area I needed an orthopedic doctor to look at an injury. I went to a Lexington…read moreClinic Urgent Care Clinic and was pleasantly surprised to discover they offered a walking clinic specializing in orthopedic care. The clinic was a one stop shop for my injury. They had X-ray onsite. It took less than an hour for me to be seen by a nurse practitioner, X-rayed, and put into a cast. My follow up visits were equally as efficient. An orthopedic clinic was a brilliant concert and my medical treatment was excellent. Hope I never need them again but glad to know something like this is available if I do.

Ritchie is the kindest person you have ever met, caring, competent, and listens to what you have to…read moresay. He takes the care of his patients very seriously and as his duty for their well being. Office workers and nurses / PA's are always cordial and quick to respond. I have been scheduling with his practice as long as I can remember (over 36 years), the care you receive is second to none. I could not say a bad word about this fine man or his practice. When my mother passed away, he even made a point to call me, on a Saturday, to express his condolences, and sounded genuinely upset whereas he has been our family physician for some many years, what other physician would do that?

The doctor immediately walks in and asks me what I am doing there because I had enough medicine at home to self medicate. I haven't been back since. It was rude and embarrassing. I wasn't asking for pain meds, I just wanted to make sure I didn't have a blood clot. I hate being judged by what I take at home. They need to put their prejudices aside before assuming anything. That kind of mindset can cause someone to lose their life.

I've been taking my daughter here since she was six months old and I've generally been very happy…read moreuntil today. Today, Dr. Simon examined my daughter, and I understand you need to get close to do an examination, but he had his legs spread and was so close to her on the chair that her knees were touching between his legs. He stayed like this even after the examination while he was talking to me, and this made me very uncomfortable. In hindsight, I wish I had asked him to move, but was just kind of waiting for him to and he never did until the very end of the appointment. The worst part, is that while he was in that position, he asked my daughter how she got sick. She explained that she thought she got it from her best friend, a girl in her class, and he said, "I know how you REALLY got it. From your boyfriend." And leaned in towards her face and made a bunch of kissing noises. I couldn't believe he would say this to a six-year-old girl. It was wildly inappropriate. Not to mention, he grabbed my hand while it was rested on my lap while explaining my daughter's treatment to me... Until now, this has been a truly wonderful practice. I've always been happy with the treatment my daughter has received, but this situation made me so uncomfortable that I'm switching to another provider immediately.

The location of this new site is where the old Turfland Mall use to be. You park right in the parking lot without going up and around the garage like before. You don't have to pay $2.00 when you leave. That part alone is great. You miss all the UK campus traffic here also. This is a win win. The registration is a bit slow because they have a central registration system for all the offices in the building, but once you are through registration it moves quite quickly. They also seem to have made everything paperless, which is super nice. I was in and out in no time. They also have a Lab and Xray onsite. What more could you want?
