The rehab needed his body taken ASAP--they were indifferent to our circumstances. The staff at Citrus Grove rode in and helped get everything done!! They were one of the few organizations that posted their prices, and they stuck to it-- never attempting to upsell. Every member worked diligently to get the proper certification for VA issues, get the cremation done properly, guided us the whole way. If I could give them 6 stars I would!! ZERO stars if I could:…read more I have not encountered such poor customer service in quite some time--likely because I generally choose not to frequent establishments that operate in this manner. My husband and I stopped in while waiting for the rain to pass and decided to inquire about having his Cuban link chain appraised. A young woman with long dark hair approached us to "assist." When we asked if we could have the chain appraised, the exchange went as follows: Customer: Can I get this appraised here? Employee: Yes, but I just work here. So no, I can't do that for you. Customer: (confused) Okay, so then how does an appraisal work? Employee: The jeweler. He's the professional, and he does that. And I told you he wasn't here. At no point prior to this did she inform us that the jeweler was unavailable. Instead, the interaction came across as dismissive, unprofessional, and unnecessarily rude--leaving the impression that she had no interest in earning our business. Establishments should be mindful of the staff they place on the front line, as one poor interaction can easily discourage potential customers from ever returning.

I attended a former colleague's memorial service at the Lohman Funeral Home not too long ago, and…read moreit was just so well-put together. The service itself was very lovely and so deeply honoring of my former colleague's legacy. The staff were so kind, and the overall atmosphere of this establishment was very warm. While I cannot speak to pricing, as I was just a guest attending a memorial service, I can honestly say that Lohman's is a very nice funeral home. There is ample space to host home-going services at Lohman. There is also ample parking out front and off to the side/rear of the funeral home. Again, the staff is so kind. So, you don't have to worry on that front.

When we arrived at her office, she was very nice, didn't try to sell us anything, she shared her love for helping people when going through the passing of a loved one and how she charges the minimum that she can so cremation is affordable for all. She also told us how the other cremation services in the area wanted her to raise her prices but her heart is with the people and she would rather keep her prices low. I highly recommend her services for anyone going through such hard time and having to make tough choices.

One of their dehumidifiers did leak (rare but these things have been known to happen to me!) so they discounted the bill accordingly. I brought them back out when we had another smaller leak in the bathroom and knew I could trust the owner and his son at assessing the damage and they were honest that it wasn't that bad and told it to me straight. I'd highly recommend them to anyone who needs honest people to repair damage. I've survived hurricanes, a tornado that took our whole home years ago and these are the only ones I'm going to call if anything happens again (which hopefully it doesn't!)
