If you're a foodie, Disciple Denver is the right place for you. Lots of passionate discussions and fun outings to delicious places to eat. And in between meals, deep dives into the Christian faith. What do you believe? Why do you believe it? How is it different from other denominations and faiths? Open and honest discussions filled with curiosity and compassion. The fact we joke about how obsessed Korean culture is with guilt and judgement helps us overcome those obstacles (well, at least we try to). I'm a transplant from SoCal and the past few years at Disciple Denver has helped my family transition to life in Colorado. My kids go to Korean School and the AWANA program during the week too. The family community group is great (again, we eat well). The only knock against Disciple Denver? Not enough Lakers and Dodgers fans.

And of course, sermons are important, but they're not everything. I love the people who go here, too. I was getting out of my car when this woman who was outside smoking told me that I was on a private parking lot and couldn't park there. I was feet from my tailor (for a 2-3 minute pickup exchange) and I said to the woman, "can't you make an exception and give me 5 minutes?" She said no. Knowing if I didn't move, she would do something to my car - I moved. How awful? This is a spiritual living church? Give me a break - they are more unkind and unforgiving than anyone else. There's no rock music, no secular preaching, just learning from the bible and an amazing choir. If you want to experience true spiritual growth, feel your faith renewed, strengthen and truly feel the Holy Spirit I highly recommend stopping by. Some churches have felt like a bad rock show, a Starbucks or a corporate meeting causing me to feel more empty and confused than when I entered, this is not such a church. With that said there's an older demographic, dress is business casual, but I'm a younger guy and I experienced nothing but love and warmness. There's also a very vibrant youth core and lots of families. The church is hidden behind an apartment complex, so trust Google Maps when it leads you into an apartment complex. I came to Roeh Israel with a man that saved my life 29 years ago. I was in the congregation for two…read moreyears and during that time I learned so much of the Jewishnish of Our Lord Jesus. As a Believer & being able to be blessed & walk where Jesus walked in Israel (twice in the late 70's early 80's) I still did not learn as much about Yeshua until I came to Roeh Israel. I was so happy my messianic Jewish friend invited me to come. I've been gone back to NY to care for an ailing Adopted Father, but came back to CO 2 months ago when my friend told me he had cancer. We were blessed to be at Shabbat Jan 24 & have communion. My friend Wayne Yaffee loves Pastor Bert Yellin, & Pastor Bert visited Wayne 2 weeks ago in the awful snowstorm, but that shows the dedication of Our servant reaching out even when times are difficult. I Praise & am sooo thankful for that visit as Wayne was soooo happy to see Pastor Bert. As of yesterday our wonderful servant of Yeshua met Yeshua face to face at 12:04pm Feb14,2020..I look forward to seeing him again when I get to heaven.
