The pub itself is quite big, and has many rooms with plenty of seating. It kinda feels like your friend's grandparent's house with random chairs, and nook and crannies. The bathrooms are outside, and the sinks have freezing cold water. This probably isn't as much of a problem in the summer, but we were here in December, and it was absolutely freezing out and the thought of heading out to the loo was dreadful! Everyone was really friendly; it's a real locals only pub, but everyone was quite chatty and in good holiday spirits! It was a nice welcoming crowd. Best of all, there's a super friendly pub kitty!

From the outside, the Old Bank looks pretty special as the front is tall and has quite a traditional design. Inside, there is a variety of seating and the pub makes good use of the space available to provide a comfortable drinking environment. The function room upstairs is also pretty spacious and good for hosting live music events. The food available is nothing special - the usual pub grub and nothing more - but it's worth a go if you're peckish and in there already. The drinks are reasonably priced and they offer a fairly good selection of draught beers as well as various bottled beers and spirits. A lovely pub not far from the station that offers a nice environment to go for a few drinks with friends or a bite to eat.

Really stylish decor and has a great atmosphere too. Drinks are reasonably priced and staff are very friendly. The also serve food but the kitchen was closed on the day of our visit so didn't get a chance to test the menu but it looked like there was a good choice and prices were reasonable. They have a heated smoking area to the front of the pub too.

The reason for our regular visits to The Pheasant is down to their excellent food. They offer a good variety of pub food, including seasonal dishes alongside the usual classics such as sausage and mash or fish and chips. On my last visit, I had grilled guinea fowl, which was superb and perfectly accompanied by chorizo, tomato and bacon - definitely one to try. The staff there are pleasant and friendly and the atmosphere is both warm and relaxing, ensuring every dining experience there is an enjoyable one. The prices aren't too unreasonable, but when the food's this good you really shouldn't care even if it does seem expensive.

The public house sits on the famous Anfield Road and is in spitting distance of the home of The Reds, meaning on home match days throughout the season the venue is packed full of Liverpool supporters. This said, the great atmosphere means away supporters are welcomed - not with opened arms but more a nod of awareness. Dotted around the venue are a number of plazma televisions that screen match after match after match and when there aren't any matches on, are usually tuned, predictably, to Liverpool TV. What is it with pubs and lacking originality when it comes to a name? The Railway, The Grapes and…read morenow, The Edinburgh. Most towns must have a least one of these in their local area, maybe even all three. This Edinburgh pub is on College Road in Crosby, and until recently I didn't really know much about it, or even that it existed. From the outside, it looks like a fairly large and traditional pub and inside, the setting is similarly habitual as it offers a comfortable, cosy atmosphere in which to enjoy a pint or two. The place is usually busy with drinkers, many of them regulars, and although it has a bit of an 'old man' feel about it, it's a nice place to drink anyway. Its location just down the road from the nearby AFC Marine football ground also means I'd imagine it'd be a good place to go for a pre or post match pint to deliberate over the day's events, although that may be a reason to avoid it for some people.
