Most everything is organized well, although there were lots of recent donations needing sorting; The Cause Closet has a lot of great stuff! Housewares, shoes, collectibles and clothing, you're sure to find that specially priced, gently used item that will give you the adrenaline any good thrift shop will offer all while giving back to a Cause!

This place is amazing. It's like a home depot, radio shack, and permanent estate sale all rolled…read moreinto one. And it's all local, because they get donations from area businesses, residents, etc. to re-sell all sorts of stuff. I saw a huge breadmaker for $10 and across the aisle (really, it's all in a huge unheated warehouse, but I guess it was an aisle) were like 237 concrete smoothing putty knive-things. Upstairs it looked like American pickers for lighting equipment. It was amazing. And then there was a separate building just for furniture and appliances. I saw two old timey fridgerators (Kelvinators, anyone?), they looked like they were brand new, but also kind of pricey. Anyhow, it's a great place to wander around when you get sick of Wal Mart.

I used to spend every Saturday morning volunteering at It's Our Wild Nature. It was marvelous to…read morehave coffee amongst all the lovely trees with friends and then to spend the morning planting wildflowers or cutting out invasive honeysuckle. I would feel refreshed all week from the time spent in nature (without having to leave Columbia) and knowing that I was able to help preserve this beautiful space.
