They also said they work with insurance companies. When their representative came, he gave us confidence that there was a case worth pursuing, mentioning codes and other points. Later, when my wife spoke with the person handling claims at their office, we were told essentially the opposite -- that nothing could be done because the roof was old and deteriorated and insurance wouldn't pay. That felt like talking to the insurance company itself, not a company offering to help. I called the representative to ask why we were getting two completely different messages. He initially told me again we had a case, but after speaking with his office he called back and said they were stopping everything and would not pursue it. What I find unacceptable is the lack of consistency and professionalism in how this was handled. Envy Roofing approached us after stating in writing that they had observed possible recent storm damage. Their representative then told us there were grounds to pursue a claim, yet their own office later took the opposite position and dropped the matter. I understand that no contractor can guarantee an insurance outcome, but customers deserve clear, consistent, and professional communication. If they believed from the start that the roof's condition made the claim unlikely, that should have been said up front. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about relying on Envy Roofing for insurance claim assistance and would strongly recommend getting everything in writing before moving forward. Thank you for responding, but I need to correct the record. The situation involving Allstate and the prior concerns regarding the roof WAS explained to your company. Suggesting that this information was not disclosed does not reflect the conversations we had with Envy Roofing. Your own response also confirms one of the main points of my review: your representative initially believed that the wind may have caused wood shingles to fall. That is exactly why we relied on what your representative was telling us and believed there was a legitimate reason to pursue the claim. My complaint is NOT that Envy Roofing failed to guarantee an insurance payment. I never expected or asked for a guarantee. My complaint is that we received contradictory information from your own company. Your representative told us there appeared to be wind-related damage and that we had a case. Your office then told my wife essentially the opposite. When I called your representative about this contradiction, he again told me we had a case. Then, after speaking with your office, he called us back and suddenly said Envy Roofing was stopping everything. If your company received new information that changed its professional opinion, then simply explain that clearly to the customer. Don't give a customer one answer, then another, and then suggest afterward that important information wasn't disclosed when, from our experience, it was discussed. I am not asking Envy Roofing to control an insurance company's decision. I am holding Envy Roofing accountable for the communication and service we personally received. We made the appointment with Josue and he showed up on time and ready to go. After fixing the tile, he asked if he could do a review of our full roof and provided us pictures of every concern he had about the roof. After that discussion and his positive and professional attitude, we agreed to fix the necessary tiles and ceiling that he suggested. We quickly got an estimate and we scheduled the work. Once again.Josue was on time brought the necessary materials plus extras and fix the roof tiles. We really appreciated the fact that he moved tiles around so the new tiles did not impact the visual of the roof plus resealed necessary joints, and painted anything that he resealed due to the heat and the age of the roof. We have a single story 1800 square-foot house that is 25 years old and they replaced 29 tiles and sealed all the tile joints for just over $1300.00. They aligned and replaced broken tiles so they said. Well last week after the rains a big leak above the living room developed. I tried phoning Kenco and after several days of me calling and the receptionist blowing me off I decided to contact Yelp again and asked for quotes. J&Y roofing called me right away, I sent them photos of the leak as requested and he stated that he could come immediately and do an inspection the next day. He was prompt and sent me detailed photos of the mistakes of the previous roofer's sloppy job and also photos identifying the issue of the leaks. That evening he sent me several detailed customized proposals along with pricing. I was impressed by their professionalism and thoroughness. We set up a time for them to start with the repairs which was last Friday and finished the 2 day job as promised. They also came over later and inspected then sent me photos of the finished roof which looked beautiful. Also after final payment they sent me a receipt with completion of project and a 10 year warranty. Believe me you can't beat the affordable price, efficiency and professionalism.
