I had a wonderful experience at Diamond Diva's Braiding Boutique taking my daughter to get her hair…read moredone. The stylist was absolutely fantastic and made the entire process smooth and comfortable from start to finish. For only $85, she did a silk press, deep conditioning treatment, steam treatment, and trimmed her ends, which I thought was a great price for everything included. What I appreciated most was how patient and gentle she was while detangling my daughter's hair and making sure she was comfortable throughout the whole appointment. She really took her time and paid attention to detail instead of rushing through the process. My daughter is absolutely in love with her hair, and we left very happy with the results. I would definitely recommend Diamond Diva's Braiding Boutique and will be coming back again.

I penciled it into my calendar, took the afternoon off work and showed up at the salon on time - only to find that I wasn't on their schedule. The receptionist was polite and sympathized with my plight, but could only offer me another appointment a week later. Scheduling errors happen, but this is totally unacceptable. They made a mistake, not me - they try to fix it. No attempts to work me into the afternoon's schedule were made. This error says a lot about the salon, which is a shame, since I had such a good first experience. Thankfully, Blow Inc. on Battleground was able to fit me in. They did an incredible job! Definitely check them out if you want excellent customer service and a great haircut. They moved clients around to accommodate me at the last second. I went in for a color and trim. I have blonde highlights and showed a picture of what I wanted -wanting to go lighter for summer. After waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time, I was finally called back. I discussed what I wanted with the picture with the stylist. I explained that I wanted a touch up but lighter color and just a trim because I'm letting my hair grow out. It took 3 hours, cost $130 and was completely not what I wanted. I went in with blonde highlights and expected to come out with lighter hair but was shocked and upset to see my hair was brunette! I have never been so disappointed. I was trying to go blonder for vacation and engagement photos and now I don't even look like myself and absolutely hate how dark it is. Also $50 of the cost was for the trim I asked for? I wish I'd never gone there. Time, money and blonde I can't get back (at least not before vacation).

I contacted her to try to get my short cut cleaned up - I placed a phone call, she texted me back, asking what I wanted and told me she couldn't get me in until mid January. I told her I'd see what I could figure out - either go somewhere else or wait - but before I could, she told me she charges $65 and since my hair is short, I might not want to pay that. I pay it now, but that's besides the point. The reviews looked great. The pictures of this place and the work she does looks awesome, but I felt like that situation could have been handled differently. If she isn't actively seeking new clients, state that on your website or tell me, but don't insinuate that I can't afford you.
