I posted on our neighborhood FB page asking for referrals to a good local bookkeeper. I was…read morepleasantly surprised at how many replies I received. What was even more surprising is multiple individuals recommended 'Lillian Makama Bookkeeping'. I reached out to her and she got back to me within a couple of hours. She called me the next morning to review my bookkeeping needs. After a few minutes, I felt very comfortable and added her as Quickbooks Online accountant. Within 15 minutes she was able to identify the duplicate entries in our bank register. She walked me through how to rectify the issue. I've been wrestling with this bookkeeping problem for months, and she was able to help me in minutes. I look forward to working with Lillian for all of my QBO needs in the future.

This Guy is a "piece of work and"caveat Emptor" buyer beware U should never use him…read more He did bookkeeping as a supplement to his state job which over stressed him almost causing him to have a nervous breakdown. As a result I had to bear the brunt of uncompleted work! He charged $ 65.00 for stuff that wasn't done ( particularly my personal income consisting of rental properties) as a result of his lack of communication and incompetence I had to find a new local bookkeeper here in Marin to redo the Income statements on the properties that he told me he was doing all along. I spent copious amounts of my personal time getting him stuff he supposidlely needed then he drops the ball as I find out later. Guy is a piece of work and his arrogant attitude combined with his church or later day saints religious background caused a disconnect which caused me to say " good riddance"If he ever advertises again my advice to u is "don't go there'!

Paid a fee for consultation and made an appointment in March. Was provided an email with the break down of fees. March Friday - Consultation went well, we were told an email will be sent with questionnaire form to complete and instructions to pay along with a link to upload documents. Tuesday - the next week- I called and asked I only received an email with a link to pay. No drop down, no amount, no questionnaire form. The person on the phone stated I need to choose from a drop down. I was shocked- because there was no drop down, just a blank space to type in the amount. They were not familiar with there one pay system. The person stated payment in full is required in order to get a link to upload documents and the questionnaire form. This was never mentioned in the consultation or in the email. In addition, first email I received has one set of pricing and the email I received after the consultation increase by $350.00 When I forwarded the original email and asked if they will be honoring the original quoted price. There response was "The Fiduciary Tax Return reservation fee for our early bird engagement bookings " So - NO they are not honoring No mention in the email about early bird or price only good for 30 days- nothing. This is what got me- In addition they stated this word for word copied from email. "I checked our availability with the team and was informed that we are currently full and not accepting any new fiduciary engagements until further notice. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot take on your engagement at this time but we can add you to our wait list upon your request. I have already initiated the refund for your New Client Consultation fee of $62.50 so you should see it post to your credit card within a few days." So I was dropped - on Friday they stated they have room. Very interesting. Needless to say, this left me in a challenging situation- trying to find an accountant on a short notice to file my taxes. I don't do reviews very often as I understand things happen and I grew up with a Family business , but 2 weeks later I am still struggling to find an accountant.
