To be completely honest, I am not a smoker or a vaper, but my husband and whenever we go into these "smoke shops" its always super awkward and kinda gross. So happy we found Volcano Vape Shop! It was literally the opposite! So far best Vape shop I have ever been to! When we first walked in the first thing I noticed was that the entire place was spotless and super clean. Everything was nicely organized and behind the counter or glass. The employee working that day was super helpful and nice. He showed us the different types of vapes and explained the different flavors. He really took the time to help my husband get the right vape for him. I have never had an experience in a smoke shop like that before. He even mentioned to try it out in the front and if it was malfunctioning then we could exchange it. Highly recommend! read more

I've been to 3 locations of Volcano Vape & they all have great deals and knowledgeable staff. Lots of Vape shops in HNL, glad I found these guys. read more

Unfortunate experience considering all of the other glowing reviews: tried giving them my business on a Tuesday afternoon but found the door padlocked and a sign stating temporarily closed until 5:30 - fast cut to 6:00 PM - me and a couple other potential customers are left out in the proverbial cold with no relief in sight. Came back another day (calling ahead of time to ensure they were actually open) and found a somewhat letdown of a selection and definitely a price range that could use some competitive spirit - I won't name names but I found another establishment within walking distance that offered a similar selection for a much more enticing price range. Per Capitalism 101: I gave my patronage to the store offering the best value. Take of this what you will. read more

After being a customer for many years, and purchasing all my mods and juice from them, they did not honor a return. There is a tiny sign on the wall that says no returns or exchanges however I did not see that AND the receipt does not state that. It states that unopened items can be returned for store credit within 30 days from purchase. I went 4 days after. The package was opened by the employee when I went to return while he was on the phone with his assistant manager asking for approval. The assistant manager denied my return. I wasn't even asking for my money back and would've gladly taken the store credit THAT IS PRINTED ON THE RECEIPT. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. They do not stand behind their policy. read more

So far this place has been awesome! No complaints from me. Last night I bought a vape and it was right around closing time. I got home and after a few hits this thing just literally started cooking itself. Making a weird ticking sound and getting hot to the touch. I'm waiting for the shop to open. Hopefully I can exchange it. I'm writing this in advance with intention to follow up on what happens next. Update. The vape was exchanged but not without a little shit from the guy. Shocker. I read a review about this persons customer service. He's a dick. The vape literally smoked itself out in a night. And then I'm told "This is like returning a half eaten sandwich". Little different story here big guy. But thanks for cementing other peoples view of you. Not going to this store anymore. There are others with better customer service. read more

Very knowledgeable staff, their cbd range is probably the moat ive seen on the island. My headache subsided after getting a 350mg CBD cartridge. 5 stars for service. Most everyone is usually great at all locations. 1 star for quality and pricing. I was a loyal customer for 7 years but will only go here now in a pinch. The inferno is not good quality, and the juices and equipment is so over priced across the board. I bought new equipment online. I waited too long to order cartridges so gotta buy from store. What costs $2.99 online is $6.99 in volcano. For the exact same item. Anyway, again the people that work there are great, but volcano really needs to price their inventory accordingly. read more

I never write reviews, but I felt compelled wo write this one: I came in to the shop today to grab an Orion mod by Lost Vape, I was helped by a guy named Christian, the only guy working at the time. I was about 4th in line - when It was my turn he grabbed what I needed but he said they were out of the 0.5ohm pods. So the guy apologizes for not having any in stock and proceeds to give me one of is own personal pods, right p out of the box he had paid for with his own money. Folks like this are an incredible contribution to society, will 100% return and recommend to friends. Thanks Christian. Incredible. (My apologies if spelt incorrectly) read more

The manager here is super friendly and so helpful. I needed to replace my unit that had stopped charging. They did so and made sure my new unit worked. And when I have no idea what flavor to get, I just tell them what I normally like and they have great suggestions...great knowledge of liquids and salts. Parking is so convenient and when they validate you don't have to pay. I love coming to this location. read more

This place is a rip-off I bought two batteries one was defective and now it's made both batteries bad the place won't replace him the manager talking about policy and I just spent 80 bucks here I would not recommend this place to anyone. The only reason they have good reviews is because they offer 25% off if you give a good review I just went to vape Kings to get the batteries and even though I had to pay over again was well worth it because I didn't have lopsided batteries one dead one good like that guy let me leave with specially when you're nicking thanks Vape Kings read more

Friendly staff, very laid back vibe tonight. There were a few customers at the front bar when I came in so I figured there'd be a bit of a wait. Instead I was greeted & helped as soon as I walked in. The other customers seemed to just be hanging out & talking story so the workers jump back & forth in conversations which is nice. I didn't get that "I'm talking to this person, you can wait" vibe at all. Awesome! It took me longer to find the place & parking than to make my purchase. Incase anyone else is wondering, they're located in the same 2 story building Sam Choy's used to be in (immediately after First Hawaiian Bank when you're driving north on Kapahulu). You can park downstairs (which looked pretty empty when I walked past) or be like me & find street parking because you're paranoid that your big SUV won't fit in the parking structure. read more

I came to Hawaii from Cali for vacation, and there I was scoping out shops to purchase a coil for my device at the time. Volcano Vape Shop on Kapahulu Ave was the closest one so I walked there and welcomed by the friendliest staffs(3 behind the counter) in Hawaii I ever encountered so far. Unfortunately they ran out of the coil I needed, but to my surprise one of the employee named Carrie offered to give her own personal leftover coils that happened to be waiting to be given out for "FREE" I've been a vaper for quite some time and never experienced a VIP treatment from such establishments as the VOLCANO Vape Shop. It was more of the experience of how the STAFF interacts with the customers! Talk about special discounts!!! I challenge you to check it out and prove me wrong. Thanks Carrie really appreciate what you did. read more

It's a great shop with excellent customer service. That's why there's 4 stars. But the prices are insane. Maybe offer incentives aside from the phone number program? I've found a place that, with shipping and TWO 60 mL liquids is still somehow cheaper than your one. That's off the bat, and not because of a rewards program. I still will go to you if I'm in the area though read more

Horrible experience, manager Kevin at the Kapahulu Volcano location has horrible customer service and is far from negotiable with his customers. Sold me deficient products and when it came down to working things out he wanted to charge me $2 after incorrectly charging my card. This girl Cari needs a bonus for customer service and knowledgeability! I sent my GF to pick up things for me and Cari was so kind and helpful. My GF is shy and Cari helped her through the whole ordeal. I had some issues with a product and yet again Cari was there to help. I also spoke to a gentleman on the phone about these issues and he left a note fully explaining what happened and was very understanding. I want to send a thank you to Wendell and the other nice young man who took the time to go above and beyond for me today. I recently reviewed another location, where I expressed my displeasure with the quality of a product I had bought. I did not want to return to that location, so I drove a little out of the way to this one. I won't go into detail about how they helped me but let me just say, that type of customer service is the reason why I will continue to shop local for my vaping needs. Thank you both so much. Customer Service = nonexistent No acknowledgment from employees when you enter when it's slow or busy. These employees working there should not be in the customer service industry and should just work at a library instead. Do yourself a favor, if you hate your job, quite and find another one. This place is only good to go to if you know what you want and you just want to be in and out. With that being said, I would rather buy my vaping supplies online as I get the same customer service online as I do going here. In addition, I don't waste any of my time and gas, or having to deal with someone that can't provide a decent/good customer service experience. read more

This place is super chill! If you have ever been inside, you'll see what I mean! Large black leather sofas to cruise on, a large 55" screen? Maybe bigger, so you can watch the game, play video games or whatever on. Ample chairs, benches and tables to study, a coffee and bagels bar for a snack, and best of all AMPLE flavors of Volcano vapor! YUM! If I was a college student, I would definitely come here, but fortunately I already graduated :) Parking: Free parking downstairs in the lot, otherwise street parking will have to do, which is ALWAYS a problem everywhere in town on Oahu, especially around Waikiki. read more

We came here on Sunday to do some studying/reading. I will not study/read here anymore but I will stop by to grab my newest favorite coffee drink (within that category)! ATMOSPHERE: This place has fierce red walls and has a couch right in the middle that looks really comfy except we couldn't sit on because some people were hogging it. The place has two big tv. screens hung on the wall one round table and one long ledge table that looks out into Kapahulu's golf course...overall it's a really nice chill place I just don't think it's the place to study at since there seems to be a lot of talking going on. COFFEE DRINK: I ordered the iced white chocolate mocha...That was the BEST white chocolate mocha I have ever tasted...usually white mochas are too sweet but this one was just right. I couldn't stop drinking it. SERVICE: After we got the drinks we wanted to pay for them but the guy said "no you pay later"...we were kind of confused, so we just sat down at the table ledge. About 30 mins later another guy came over and he said "you can pay now" ...that was just kind of weird to me, I wasn't sure if that was routine or not. Anyhow, other than that they seemed supper relaxed. read more
