If you are looking for affordable fun singing classes, then this is the place to be. Ashton is…read moresuper patient and knows how to gage the level of each individual student. I've been coming here for about a year, mainly because I wanted an extra activity to do between work and I have to say, I have learned a lot about my voice and how to use it properly. I used to strain my voice all the time just singing in the car but now I can sing for hours on those long road trips haha. I also train people at work in software and am required to talk quite a lot. Ashton has taught me how to effectively use my voice even if I am not singing. I used to run out of breath and my voice would be gone after a four to five hour training but now I'm breathing properly and projecting my voice with my diaphragm instead of my throat. The small details and the exercises that Ashton gives really make a large difference. I have since convinced my girlfriend to take lessons. She was hesitant at first and not very motivated to start singing lessons but now she loves it. Along with the singing lessons, Ashton also does some fun events such as Christmas shows, music videos with all the members and other fun stuff. These are not required but they are excited to test out all those hours of vocal training. Highly recommended for all ages and especially if you are just looking for something new to try.

We instantly connected and I even went on to take lessons twice a week for most of the summer. She worked with me in a way that made me understand the techniques that she was teaching me, and not just make me feel like it was a correction, but a feeling that I looking for each time in order to produce the best sound quality for my voice. We worked on many pieces of music, and she helped me prepare for a variety of different outside things I was working with. She is encouraging, and serious about her commitment to you and yours to your music. What was most amazing and telling for me, was that one day, after having worked with katherine for about six weeks I sat my room mate down and sang a song Katherine and I had been working on together for awhile and she said that should couldn't believe it. She had always thought that I had a good voice, but the improvement was astonishing in such a short amount of time, and when I retunred to school after the summer and sang at school, that teacher that referred me to Katherine said he had seen the same improvements. Overall, she is a lovely human being, and one of the most musically well trained and educated people that I have ever met. And although most of my lessons are about me singing, on the rare occasion I have had the pleasure of hearing her sing, it is UNREAL- just sensational. She is passionate and she fits your lessons to what you specifically need to work on. I recommend whole-heartedly working with Katherine, and I can't wait to continue to see how my voice grows and changes in the coming months in my lessons with her!

A few years ago I took a music course at LAVC, and was completely lost. Can't remember the teachers name, but then I tried an extension course that took me to Mr. Richard Rossi. I've taken courses, tried to read a few books, tried the Internet, but I've got to tell you it's Richard's patience and appreciation for different types of music that has really helped me understand and really learn to play the guitar. I've brought this man music in different languages and he can still appreciate and help me with the music that I'm learning. I've never felt like a client, if anything taking lessons with him feels like a friend showing you how to jam to the music you like. Plus, he's an overall good person, and very easy to talk to. Different kinds of music has always been heard in the hallways of my home, and learning the guitar truly opens your mind to another level of appreciation for different kinds of music, and that's something that I owe this dude.
