Some places in Boca charge higher prices but for lesser properties. I think this price I am paying is perfect for the kind of apartment Alta is. Apartment Units: The pro is that everything is marble top, modern coffee brown wood, and has a nice clean feel. You don't feel like you're moving into layers of gunk built on residues of past tenants. The air conditioning/heater is my only main problem- b/c the units are small and the air is fast/hard and strong, your room will be freezing cold for a short part of timeand then when the temperature hits set point, the apartment can get stale and stagnant- definitely true in the late fall time when the weather is still humid and gross outside but temperature isn't hot enough to move the air to turn on in the apartment. Maintenance: very on time, and you can put in work orders and expect them to take care of your request by the end of the day. There is valet trash and the property management keeps this place smelling nice (indoor hallways) and vacuumed and clean. Makes coming home everyday nice. People who live here- generally professionals, quiet folk, and people who have decent incomes. I lived in Boca Raton near Town Center and the crowd was questionable at times to where I didn't feel safe walking in the parking lot. I feel if I leave my door unlocked for a weekend, I wouldnt be worried about theft or people breaking in. Coffee- they have this nice Starbucks Coffee in their already nice residential lounge with TVs , movie theater area, and tables for people to hold meetings and play billiards while drinking coffee Swimming pool- it's a full 25 yards pool- enough so people can feel relaxed and lounge in it but also enough for athletes to swim laps for a full workout. Comfortable lounge chairs and never too noisy. There are also barbecue pits for people who want to do a cook out. There's a nice large dog park behind and also you're connected to the Delray Golf club from behind within walking distance. Parking- the garage makes one feel safe- Ive never locked my car before and I even park in guest parking downstairs without security and never feel worried about people breaking in or vandalizing my car Front desk- friendly people in the front. If you plan on renting the place, read the fine line. Charges for community utilities to $20 valet trash and extra charges found on your bill every month. The third party company they use "CON-SERVICE" is a joke. Oceanside and ConService like to point finger at each other and at the end of the day, nothing will be explained or resolved. My flooring had glue leaks, water damage from the unit above me and multiple over charge water utilities when I was away for work and not even home. Yet they seem to always find an excuse or brush the issue off. Gate is never working, so kids are always using the club house, people housing more then they can fit and cars are being broken into. It took three managements teams to finally come to me to try to resolve the issue. The crazy part was that they wanted to give me $200 to sign basically an NDA and have the owner and the property management team not at fault for any of the issues. Its not worth the headache to pay the prices they are asking. They will offer you 2700 for a two bedroom for you to find out two months after you moved in that they are now renting it out for 2100. They play games and are not looking at your beat interest.

Granted, it was great and spacious, but since I have bad knees and hips, it was no longer convenient for me to walk up and down three floors every day. We were looking at other places when Sophia told us about a 2 BR/2 BT 1st floor apartment facing the lake... she saved us! We love our apartment! To have the view of the lake when you wake up in the morning just puts you in the right frame of mind. My dogs love it, too! Since there's a bush in front of the living room window, they are not bothered that much by the people passing by. I swear they barked more when we were in the townhouse. I also want to commend the maintenance team; their response time is very fast! When we have an issue, such as plumbing or whatnot, it's usually less than 24 hours between putting the request in and someone coming to check on the issue. Ivan is quick, and he is also very friendly to our dogs. He will let you know what the problem is right away. We find this community peaceful, despite having a major road (Congress Ave.) so close by. It feels hidden away from the busy street and is quite tranquil. We hope to stay here for many years to come.

My biggest concern is the lack of communication from upper management. As a renter trying to get information about my rental balance, when the issue wasn't no fault of mine, it was frustrating not being able to get clear answers. If it weren't for Emma and Rona, I probably would have been much more upset with the experience. They were professional, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout the process. I'm not sure what's going on with upper management, but thankfully Emma and Rona are holding things together. They deserve recognition for the excellent customer service they provide.

I called Sept 2 regarding the issue and was told to send an email to the accountant because he is new and they didn't see anything on file pertaining to my move out documents. I requested proof of certified mail , an itemized statement etc , according to Florida law by not sending this in time they forfeit any claims . I recieved an email back and the address they supposedly sent all this information to was the apartment I just vacated . There fire I never Recieved ANYTHING. The accountant admitted to the oversight and stated they just saw the mistake that day and my forwarding address was provided . Upon looking at the itemized deductions I was charged 250$ for drywall repair , when I moved in I hated the apt so I did not decorate , not put up TV's because I knew I was moving as SOON as the lease was up . 6 holes from curtains I was told was the issue . SIX SMALL HOLES ONE SCREW COST 250$ to repair ? NONSENSE ! , it all honestly feels like a scam and my mail was sent to the wrong address on purpose and of course it was "sent" on the 27th right before the 30 day mark . It's Sept 17th and I have yet to receive my security deposit back after going back and fourth about a " oversight " on accounting errors . A few honorable mentions : packages ALWAYS lost , could not get a refund for one because it was delivered , Roaches , terrible and I mean TERRIBLE parking , the apartments are old the amount of dust I had to clean was crazy , high FPL bill all the time no matter what changes I made in the apt , pools were always Dirty , compactors always full with tons of trash left outside .
