I did a google search for Bridal Boot Camp to lose weight for my wedding in 4 months and found…read moreElizabeth. I ended up training with her personally instead and also attending her boot camp classes every Saturday. She is very well knowledgeable about fitness and diet (culturally speaking, as I am Asian and can be very stubborn about my diet). I have had experience with 3 other Personal Trainers but none of them took time to get to know me, or my diet and actually helped me work with it. Elizabeth, right off the bat didn't say "Quit rice forever" or "You can't eat curry". Instead she told me how to balance my diet and gave me personalized nutrition guide with plenty of substitutions. She always tells me to check everything she says and not simply take her word for it. Her exercises are unique and she is hilarious. She is also very approachable during the week and answers questions pretty quickly. She is more of a lifestyle & habit changer, than a "quick 4 week workout plan for a flat belly" kinda trainer. Right now, all classes & training sessions are virtual and yet she still somehow manages to make me sweat buckets during a workout. I felt so much better physically after just 2 weeks as my diet is much cleaner and and my own workouts are much more efficient. She has given me various tools to keep my lifestyle changes throughout the week, not just when I'm with her. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a slow and comprehensive lifestyle change with short term & long term lasting results.

Buyer Beware -- Read the Billing Terms Carefully…read more First, I want to say that SPENGA has an awesome workout. The instructors are great, the staff is friendly, and I genuinely enjoyed going to the gym. Unfortunately, billing transparency is the reason I canceled my membership. When you enroll, they explain that payments are made every 28 days (four weeks). What I don't feel is clearly explained verbally is that a 28-day billing cycle results in 13 payments over a 12-month period, rather than the 12 payments you would have with traditional monthly billing. That means the actual annual cost is higher than what many people may initially perceive when they hear a monthly membership price. Yes, the 28-day billing cycle is stated in the contract, and I acknowledge that I should have read the agreement more carefully. However, I believe this is something that should be clearly explained upfront by the GM whom I was working with, or sales staff so customers fully understand the financial commitment before enrolling. I have worked in sales myself, and I understand that sales are sales. But I also believe transparency is important when you're asking someone to commit to a membership. For me, the issue isn't the workout or the people, I actually really liked both. It's the lack of transparency around the billing structure. In my opinion, that was enough for me to cancel and take my business elsewhere. Aside from no one calling back to explain this and having a staff member, telling me it's part of my contract. Poor customer service. It's not what you say, it's how you say it. If you're considering joining, my advice is simple: ask specifically how often you'll be charged and how many payments you'll make in a full year. If 13 payments instead of 12 doesn't bother you, that's completely fine. But if it matters to you, make sure you understand the billing cycle and total annual cost before signing up. Buyer beware, read the contract, and ask questions.

I love that after a year I don't think I have ever done the same work out. OTF lets you have the quick good work that gets you in and out in about an hour. I believe that the work outs also allow for friendly competition and support from follow members. There are members at all athletic level and work outs can be modified for those who need it which is great! I would and do recommend that anyone who is interested try a work out the first one is free and you will be hooked!

I'm not a fan of the gym and after my first session I didn't feel confident I would continue. I had to keep reminding myself "this is for my health...my body needs this." The very next day was my birthday and the staff at San Felipe called and wished me the sweetest happy birthday. I would soon realize that their enthusiasm was standard. From the moment I crossed the threshold I was greeted by someone who knew my name and was genuinely glad I came. The atmosphere is that of encouragement and joy. The staff is amazing. They are accommodating, and respectful of all needs. Each OTF team member has been amazing. I have had the honor of working directly with Brandon, Jordan and Alyssa. When I step into the studio there is order, and structure. My favorite device of pain is the rower. This is pain with a purpose. The end goal is to be the healthiest me possible. Since joining I have been able to lift weights heavier than I ever thought possible. My speed on the treadmill is constantly increasing and I'm finally able to complete the required rows in one minute. Orange Theory has a phenomenal team of coaches. I have had the pleasure of working with the following: Coach Shelby is motivating, kindhearted and patient, Head Coach Chuck is fun and energetic, Coach Bryce's humor and personality remind me of home and Coach Savannah's encouraging push helps to increase the splat points. All of these coaches have a positive drive that manages to bring out the best in each participant. All of this would be very difficult to sustain if it were not for great management thanks to Jay and his awesome team of managers. They demonstrate great leadership and truly have passion for the work they do. Six months into joining OTF I had my first physical of the year in December 2020. My cholesterol and blood pressure were normal, and for the first time in years I was not pre-diabetic. My doctor said I was healthy. It was an unexpected Christmas gift. Nevertheless one moment you are fine and the next moment you are not. Separate from my initial results during the same time a lump had been discovered in my left breast. As the mammogram was being conducted I knew it was serious. The biopsy delivered news that I was neither prepared nor expecting to hear. Thanks to an amazing team of doctors my surgery went well. Now June 2021 by the grace of God I do not have cancer! I can now say that I am healthy inside and out. I will be blessed to celebrate another birthday in July. Anita
