This sandwich bar and coffee place is a minute walk from our city centre apartment so it's breakfast coffee (cappuccino) and fresh squeezed orange juice £4 altogether. We sit in the sun at an outside table surrounded by beady-eyed opportunist pigeons. If they come close they get chased.
Then in the afternoon we walk a minute the other way to the bakery and grab a sweet treat and double back here for afternoon cappuccino in the hot sunshine. Now hands - up who thinks living under socialism is bad - judging the number of Americans about here it can't be them. Saw one with a give away tee shirt this morning: TACO but no BELL. Ding dong.
We had our second huge thunderstorm last night and saw rain for the first time in a month of travel. The thunder and lightning was going 20 minutes before rain arrived but it didn't last long. Another month of travel ahead.
The storm was thrilling and we were cosy inside with Bushmills. If this is socialism I'll keep it. read more
