The staff does not regulate the socializing 'after hours'. The bed in the Amazonian room was hard as a rock. The bar/restaurant in front of the hostel is primarily comprised of non-hostel guests. There really is no central area that makes socializing possible. Breakfast is only offered for two hours 7-9am and was not worth getting up for. During my early checkout, the staff did not even offer to compensate. I don't get how people can call this a 'modern' hostel. You can't even put toilet paper down the toilets! I decided to go to an AirBnB for a better night's sleep. BEWARE!

Downsides were that the rooms felt like jail cells (very tight quarters), there were dust mites or bed bugs (was up all night), the breakfast was sub par and the WiFi was spotty. A place I don't want to move away from. Being a "getting- to -know -new- things" addict it's almost…read moreimpossible for me to relax and enjoy the moment as it is knowing there is a city to get to know outside. This place has the vibe to achieve that, I feel every minute in this garden with literally a rain of mine grapes falling over me it's worth it. An oasis in the city were there is a good energy traffic jam. While outside there high heel shoes are a must, this place only matches hawaianas mood.

Namoa hostel is located in the center of Vila Madalena and is at walking distance from many nice…read morerestaurants, little shops, the street art area and the metro. The room was clean and ok for a few nights. The water in de girls showers was not very warm but I took it as it was. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The first night was very noisy thanks to a guy staying there. Guess he was practicing a monologue! Good value for your money!
