We scheduled the tour and tasting on my birthday; they surprised me halfway through the tasting with a special dessert (with a little birthday card) and even sang "Happy Birthday" in English and Spanish! It was such a sweet personal touch and made the experience very memorable. We even ended up taking 3 bottles home with us!

We had a nice tour of their facility and learned a lot about the wine making process, followed by a nice lunch with wine parings. They do a lot of cool things at this particular winery, unique blends and experimentation with infused liquors, and even balsamic vinegar. It was very interesting to see the process and so hard to imagine having something age for 20+ years! There is a lot of risk in aging something so long, so much possibility for failure. We enjoyed our lunch and pairing in the barrel room. It was chilly, but they provided blankets (and lets be honest, you are drinking and that keeps you warmer) and the ambiance certainly added to the experience. I was not expecting super delicious food becuase it is not their focus, but I was pleasantly surprised that the courses were all delicious. Clearly they are good at what they do, the food paired perfeclty with each wine. The end of the meal was paired with one of their liquors and while I could not drink it straight (too strong for me), it was excellent poured over the desert, as suggested. If you have the chance to visit, I highly recommend doing the lunch pairing, not just a tasting. I would absolutely come back here if I found myself in the Casablance Valley again. Make sure to take some time to look through their shop before you leave. They have some cute things, along with their wines and liquors.

The moment you sent down, you are able to breathe and relax. Next: Service and offerings. Wine selection is wide, the menu making it easy to narrow down your choice by preference. Service was quite slow, and could be more attentive. In fact, we decided against a second round because it took too long to get any attention. Pro Tip: Don't sleep on the charcuterie board, and make sure to be prepared to give your full order and set expectations (such as, "we will be having a couple of glasses throughout our visit today"). This could help expedite service and ensure you'll enjoy your full visit.

Final Day in Santiago & An Incredible Experience at Kingston Family Vineyards…read more Location: Casablanca Wine Region, Chile Date: Wednesday, 05 November 2025 Weather: 51-76°F Today, Chuck and I had the pleasure of visiting the Kingston Family Vineyards for an unforgettable private Chilean cooking class paired with a delightful three-course lunch. Our local guide, Jose, took us off a remote country road and onto a hidden palm-lined drive, heightening our anticipation as we approached the stunning winery. As we stepped out of our vehicle, we were warmly welcomed by Carolina, our personal hospitality associate, who greeted us with a refreshing glass of Rosé. She introduced us to the intimate tasting salon that offered breathtaking views of the Casablanca Valley and shared the rich history of the Kingston family and their vineyards. Our adventure began with an enlightening tour of the property, winery, and cellar, culminating in a fabulous barrel tasting of their 2022 Kingston Family CJ Syrah--absolutely stunning! Next, we joined Chef Rodrigo for an incredible cooking class. We were excited yet curious about the day's menu. Our first task was to prepare a marinated Chilean Yellowfin Tuna Sashimi, complemented by pumpkin flatbread, Chilean pebre (similar to pico de gallo), guacamole purée, and a Chardonnay Sour reminiscent of a Pisco Sour. After impressing Chef Rodrigo with our culinary skills, we enjoyed our Chardonnay Sour on the open-air veranda, soaking in the beauty of the Casablanca Valley. The sashimi was paired perfectly with a 2024 Kingston Family Sauvignon Blanc, showcasing Chef Rodrigo's artistry in presentation and flavor. The culinary journey continued with two more exquisite courses, including a mouthwatering grilled beef filet, each paired impeccably by Carolina. The grand finale was a refreshing raspberry sorbet drizzled with chocolate Pinot Noir sauce and fresh strawberries, accompanied by a delightful 2023 Kingston Family Merlot--simply fantastic! All the Kingston Family wines we tasted today were beautifully crafted: well-rounded with a great tannic structure, perfectly balanced, and boasting vibrant acidity. The pairings were spot on--simply, wow! Kingston Family Vineyards masterfully blends the best of Old and New World winemaking, producing small lots of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc from their cool climate, hillside vineyards. They are one of the few Chilean vineyards harnessing Californian viticulture expertise to unlock the potential of their unique terroir, led by their talented winemaker, Andres Campana. We highly recommend this extraordinary gastronomic excursion for anyone visiting Chile's Casablanca wine region. It was an outstanding experience, and we can't wait to return! Cheers, Susan and Chuck

The scenery is beautiful, amazing ambiance. Allison put so much thought and knowledge into the tour. Our group was mainly English speaking and there was no language barrier with Allison. Emiliana Organic Vineyard is a gorgeous spot and well worth visiting…read more This was my first visit to a winery, so I can't compare it to any others, but I think I picked an awesome first one to visit! While I didn't go on the wine tasting tour (not with children in tow), my family and I visited the wineshop and peruse the vineyard independently. We had to check in at a guard gate to enter, and wind our way through tons of grapevine fields. Another station guarded the parking lot. After this, we were able to wander as we pleased without supervision or anyone telling us what we should be doing. The property is gorgeous with tons of plants and greenery, a nice breeze and the mountains in view all around us; this made for altogether a quiet and peaceful experience. The openness allowed my children to happily run wild, alongside the chickens and pheasants grazing on the lawns around the wine shop. We watched the Alpacas in their stone-walled keep and even went inside the (also stone-walled) organic garden bursting with vegetables, herbs and fruit trees. The wine shop building itself is stunning in the beauty of its design, both inside and out. Inside on the first floor, wines and other goods are for sale, including a tiny Patagonia-brand clothing/gear section! The windows are surrounded by a ton of tall, striking flowers, and we were able to watch Large Chilean Hummingbirds close-up and in action feasting on these flowers. We purchased our wine and peered at the view from upstairs before heading out to the massive back porch and patio area of tables and chairs. I drank a coffee out here; unfortunately, the separate cafe/restaurant had already closed (we arrived in the mid-late afternoon). On the way back to the parking lot, we took pictures and my children even climbed some trees. Thanks for a great visit, Emiliana!

Our guide was so informative and I really learned a lot about the wine making process. Who knew the bottle labels change depending on where it is shipped?! We definitely marveled at the "eggs" and the many giaganic vats of wine. Wine making is such a science, I give big props to anyone that gives it a go. We had our tasting overlooking the bottling room and next to this cool display of wine bottle openers, years of history in a modern building. Our guide was again very informative and even gave us a bonus taste of a wine we had been talking about on the tour, his favorite, though I (of course) cannot remember what it was called now. This was our 3rd winery of the day, so I struggled to finish all the wines as I was pretty tapped out at that point, but I definitely enjoyed them. I would recommend stopping here on a CV winery tour your next trip to Chile, and I would definitely come back again.
