Very unique winery set in the gorgeous Casablanca valley with a mountainous backdrop. We took a tour through uncorked and had Tomás as our guide. The winery is beautiful and the vineyard is endless as far as the eye can see. This winery is extremely experimental not only with wine but with infused liquors, olive oils, and reduction sauces. The owner and his son apparently do various experiments and the fact that they allow you to partake in the experience of these important pet projects makes for a very special feeling tour! They have quite a few fusion wines also, such as: chardonior, cabernoir and more. Their take on cool weather reds was worth a try!
One of my favorite stops in all of The Valley! The staff was terrific, the tour was very informational, and all the wines were incredibly delicious. We scheduled the tour and tasting on my birthday; they surprised me halfway through the tasting with a special dessert (with a little birthday card) and even sang "Happy Birthday" in English and Spanish! It was such a sweet personal touch and made the experience very memorable. We even ended up taking 3 bottles home with us! read more

This was my favorite stop on our winery tour of the Casablanca Valley (we went to three). Its a beautiful place even without any grapes on the vines. We had a nice tour of their facility and learned a lot about the wine making process, followed by a nice lunch with wine parings. They do a lot of cool things at this particular winery, unique blends and experimentation with infused liquors, and even balsamic vinegar. It was very interesting to see the process and so hard to imagine having something age for 20+ years! There is a lot of risk in aging something so long, so much possibility for failure. We enjoyed our lunch and pairing in the barrel room. It was chilly, but they provided blankets (and lets be honest, you are drinking and that keeps you warmer) and the ambiance certainly added to the experience. I was not expecting super delicious food becuase it is not their focus, but I was pleasantly surprised that the courses were all delicious. Clearly they are good at what they do, the food paired perfeclty with each wine. The end of the meal was paired with one of their liquors and while I could not drink it straight (too strong for me), it was excellent poured over the desert, as suggested. If you have the chance to visit, I highly recommend doing the lunch pairing, not just a tasting. I would absolutely come back here if I found myself in the Casablance Valley again. Make sure to take some time to look through their shop before you leave. They have some cute things, along with their wines and liquors. read more

Wow fun wines, excellent service. This location is close to the highway and has a good sized parking lot that is easy to navigate. It's a small winery but the service was amazing and highly personalized. We walked in and were immediately greeted in our language of choice (English/Spanish). They offered us a menu of options for tastings and we chose a basic tasting. The greeter "signed" us up and told us to walk around while she set up the table and our tasting guide. When ready our guide came by and introduced himself and we chatted about where we were from etc. Very personalized. Then we sat down and at a table that was set with foods and our glasses. It was quite a presentation. The wines were so very interesting. The wines were unconventional blends. A pinot noir and a moscatel?? Lots of interesting blends and the names to reflect them. I can't remember them all but of all the wineries we visited, we bought the most bottles from here. I even saved a few and returned with them to the United States they were so good. They also preserve the techniques of using large clay jars for the wine to age in. Very interesting. I will return here on my next visit to Chile. read more

Very impressed with this winery. Tomas gave us an amazing tour of the vineyard and wine making process. His passion and knowledge of wine guided us though an spectacular tasting. I can truly say I loved every wine during the tasting and bought 6 bottles of wine. It's a smaller vineyard but if you are looking for quality unique wine I highly recommend. Out of the many wineries and tours I've done this is high on my list of the best vineyard. Ask for Tomas! read more

I have been touring in the wine valleys of Chile for several years now, especially Casablanca Valley. And of all the wineries I know, this one is definitely the most special one. Bodegas RE simply makes unique wines, recreating vinification techniques from Ancient Greece, injecting modern technology into it, and a lot of creativity. Their state-of-the-art cellar features gigantic clay jars that are unique in the world, and that is where they age their wines instead of the usual steel tanks. And if that was not enough, they create very unusual blends. Their wine regularly get over 90 points in the most important Chilean wine reviews, although their uniqueness do not please everybody. But by any means, the place is worth visiting, and you should try their wines -whether you end up liking them or not is a different story. If you want to know more about Valparaiso, Santiago, the wine region, etc. feel free to contact me! read more
