I was dealing with some pretty intense pain that I knew was emotionally driven, and she led me down the path to making peace with the conflict that caused the pain, and the complete elimination of that pain. 30 or so minutes of conversation, followed by 30 minutes or so of hypnosis, and each session was different, calming, and very helpful. I've done therapy in the past, and none was as effective as my time with Tara. And the pain is gone.

Jennifer was so thoughtful and effective. I saw her during a major health crisis and she was…read moreincredibly helpful. We never started a session w/o a thorough check-in. She always made sure she was in the know of what all was going on in my world and in my body. She had better insight than the MD who I was seeing and was able to guide me toward more comprehensive medical support. She studies her craft and is very in tune with societal issues and injustices. Her space always felt safe and I always felt heard. Not sure I'll ever find an acupuncturist as thoughtful, wise, and caring as her. Thank you, Jennifer, for all of your support -- emotionally and physically.

After seven months of biweekly acupuncture, I've entered a new quality of being that I believe…read morewould've been impossible without Jennifer and the skill, encouragement, attentiveness, compassion, and humor with which she's graced me. Acupuncture has tremendously impacted my digestive fire, inflammation, anxiety levels, and quality of sleep--and I will never forget the day Jennifer instigated my late period's arrival immediately after a targeted treatment. Some sessions entail subtle needling; in others, I've meditated on vulnerability through discomfort with the utmost trust in Jennifer, arriving at a newfound state of calm, clarity, or excitement. There is the empirically-measurable efficacy of acupuncture and the relief it has granted me from chronic illness (from a Western perspective: adrenal fatigue, amenorrhea, dysbiosis, candida, autoimmune disease, acne, eczema); there is, moreover, the psychosomatic poetry of the bodymind blending Heaven and Earth, grounding me in profound ways inextricably linked to my sense of self and well-being. Through acupuncture with Jennifer and my personal study of Daoism, I've gradually recontextualized "anxiety" or "angst" as the simple expression of an element out of balance: within this paradigm, I continue to discover new ways of self-care, intuition, and a drastically improved sense of trust and vitality. Within our increasingly digitized Western culture predicated on the Cartesian separation of body and mind, it has meant the world to me to rediscover my whole self: physically and energetically inseparable; relational to the world at large; intuitive and sensual. ...To say this medicine "works" feels like an understatement: it works on levels both explicable and inexplicable, seen and unseen, with equal validity. Jennifer is truly an exceptional healer, a source of joy and wisdom for whom I hold the deepest gratitude and affection--in short, if you are able, schedule a session! It might be one of the best decisions you'll ever make.
