Happy surprise to visit this place. Very good food and awesome service. I had fish and chips which…read morewere very good but I also got to taste the fish of the day and it was awesome. It's a very cosy restaurant with a warm feeling to it and apparently they have quiz nights on mondays. It's all in Norwegian so you should not go there if you don't talk Norwegian but can be fun anyways.

We had a lovely meal at Heim Gastropub. We enjoyed the Cauliflower steaks and burgers. They have…read moregreat local tap beer. The service was GREAT! The inside of the restaurant is very cute. It's like being in a beautiful old pub, warm and cozy..lots of wood. They also have outdoor dinning with lots of heating if needed. Great for the entire family. AND there is a beautiful park right across the street! Nothing like a nice walk after a good meal!

Uncooked slimy chicken kebab at night. Went there at 2 AM,…read morecompletely sober, when they thought I was drunk, but I was not. I saw them stressing out, and rapidly preparing the kebabs because there was a lot of traffic - something I have experienced way too often at kebab places in Oslo. They served me and another poor soul a 'light-ish' colored chicken kebab. Hungry as I was, I thought it looked and tasted a bit weird, assumed it was the color it was supposed to have and ate that disgusting sucker until I hit the slime. Told the staff that it was slimy, and waited for some sort of response. They clarified several times what I had said and I was forced to repeat this message in front of the sorry souls who had just ordered. They talked among themselves, started bickering in their native language and I walked out getting some questioning and regretting stares from the other patrons. Sad thing is, the kebab place is usually really good in the day time and I have been there several times lately, but after this experience I will never go back. Get your act together San Remo! You had a good product and you can do better! Train your staff to never ever, EVER, serve up disgustingly and potentially poisonous food. You really really, REALLY want me to be a customer on your good side so you can avoid reviews like this. Good luck!

I had seen a line the first night I arrived and I was staying across the street at an apartment I…read morerented. I walked in a couple days later to check out the food only to be not greeted by the guy who worked there mid day. He was rude and looked like he hated his job. The food was good, but for the experience, I won't return here. There is another place walking distance and while it was not as good, the owner was nice and accommodating . The two stars are for the food or it wouldn't get any stars.

Entering the small inner yard of Munnskjenk is like entering an enchanted space. On my first visit…read morelast summer, passing through the gate, me and my companions exclaimed in unison: "Why on earth have we not found this place before?! ". We speculated whether it had manifested from thin air just to suit our needs of the moment. Munnskjenk is actually the outdoor kitchen of the neighboring bar Himkok, and is open in the summer season. And no wonder Munnsjenk feels enchanted - I mean; where else in Oslo do you find an outdoor stage with live jazz, urban gardening, locally brewed cider, kombucha, raw cakes, great food, seating framed by greenery and a Saturday yard sale - all in the same place? I've tried the "all day brunch plate" (meze style plate with different delicious treats) and pulled beef with potatoes and brown sauce. Both were delicious - but maybe a bit over priced. This is a real pearl in the Oslo jungle, and I'm looking much forward to a new season with dry cider and live jazz.

It is so difficult to write for this place. The "food" is just horrible, probably the worst I have…read moreever tried anywhere and ever. Where to start? The overburned meat of unknown origin? The also overburned ready-made fries, dripping with some smelly oily substance? The salad that tastes like paper? It is just terrible and frankly I am shocked such a place has license to operate and serve food to the public.
