Their gelato is made on site and carry about 20 flavors. They sell by the cup or you can buy a half lt. take away. The coffee was delicious! They made my wife a delicious latte and a mocha (with whip) for me. Did I mention they have a machine dedicated to making whipped cream! AMAZING! It was a touch on the sweet side for me but this would be perfect for most! Better a little sweet than bitter. There is seating inside and in an enclosed patio. Plenty of seating! They are closed on Monday & Tuesday. We were informed this is when they make the gelato. So gotta try the pistachio gelato! it's not bright green like some but perfect in flavor because it's made with real pistachios! So color a little bit darker and more natural! The stracciatella ( cream and chocolate chips) was perfect! They know what they are doing and so lucky we yelped and found this sweet little delicious stop while visiting Rosa Rito or staying at Las Gaviotas. Worth your time!

And while I'm normally one to eat sweats, I decided to make an exception this time. The worker here prepped the ice cream in an interesting way. He would spread the ice cream into a thin sheet, then roll it, and place it in the cup. He would repeat this several times, then include whatever toppings that we chose. The ice cream was pretty decent. It was flavorful, and the toppings (fruit and nuts) added flavor and texture. The surrounding area is safe, relaxing, and perfect to enjoy the great ice cream from this place. I recommend coming here if you find yourself in the town of Ensenada.

The tasting menu consisted of 14 courses. They served things I never would've ordered on my own, and that ended up being the best part. The oyster and clam dishes were incredible, and the scallops were another standout. The drink pairing was surprisingly great too, way more adventurous than what I would've picked off a menu, and I ended up loving a couple of the wines I'd skipped during our earlier tasting at Bruma. They serve about 8 different ice cream flavors with 4 of them being wine flavored: cabernet, merlot and two white ones which I can't remember. Beau and I ordered each of the merlot and cab ice, which is scooped into little 8 oz styrofoam cups for 35 pesos (at the time of our visit, the exchange ends up being less than $2 each!). The wine flavored ice is exactly what it is, it's like having italian ice or hawaiian ice, or whatever culture you're accustomed to growing up eating flavored ice. The sign says they have snacks, which isn't much. Just a tiny shelf with a few bags of chips and nuts and a vending machine with bottles of sodas.
