This practice has been consistently disorganized, but my latest experience was the last straw. After my appointment, my doctor said he'd send my prescriptions, but nothing showed up. I called the office 15+ times, even explained I was going through withdrawals, and still got no apology or help. I decided to drive to the practice and in person, was told something totally different than what I'd been told over the phone. No one communicated, took responsibility, or seemed to care. I ended up paying out of pocket at the pharmacy instead of calling and asking the practice to send in what was needed, (yet again!) just to avoid further delays and the toll it was taking on my mental health. For a mental health practice, the lack of empathy, urgency, and professionalism from the front desk and admin staff is alarming. My psychiatrist is kind, but the office is a mess. I finally got my meds but after this experience as a 4 year patient, I won't be returning. read more

Incredibly unprofessional and disorganized. Impossible to get in touch with anyone in the office and when you do they are always rude. Quality of care is incredibly poor. My experience aligns closely with the other reviewers. Was also accidentally copied on an email with Dr. Cabisudo a while back and he was very disrespectful about me in the correspondence. read more

In general, I like the therapists that I see here and have little to no trouble with getting my prescriptions nor with payments (though I do have very thorough insurance, I'd had issues with lesser insurance in the past). The problem is with the ridiculously high turnover rate in their staff. It seems like I have a new therapist every few months. I go to make my next appointment and they tell me that person is leaving. Even with the brief meetings that you have with a therapist, you tend to make a connection with them and constantly changing them is jarring, psychologically speaking. Also, Zoom sucks. I like not having to go in, but literally every. single. time. there are issues with zoom... and they're different every. single. time. It's not like I just forgot something and then remember. It's always some shuffling, clicking, tapping, waiting, sound, microphone, camera issue that didn't happen last time, but now it's a problem this time. Sometimes I have to go through my browser, sometimes through the app. It's TERRIBLE software and I wish they'd switch to Google Meet or Microsoft Teams or something else that isn't garbage. read more

Dr Cabisudo is an innovator in his field and has given me a new lease on life. The doctors are ok. However, this place has no customer service whatsoever. I deal with them for medication management. I had a telehealth appt with a provider there to refill a prescription, he assured me he would send it to the pharmacy and 2 days went by and he never did. I called and left a message and never got a response. This is par for the course with them, I will email, leave messages with all my info (DOB, name, phone number repeated twice, etc). I never get a call back. Thankfully I have a somewhat manageable condition but what if I was a danger to myself or others and couldn't get my meds? I saw the doctor there over 5 years ago for a very brief amount of time. Today I get a call out of the blue that I owe them money from a visit back in May 2016. I have never been contacted about this before and now they are trying to send me a bill that is almost 5 years old? For a visit so long ago I barely remember even going there. I know they have multiple law suits against them going on and to me this is them scrounging for every last penny they can scrape up. Rip off / scam artists ! We were told by them that they are in our network , only to get an almost $1000.00 bill in the mail. Called the insurance , and they are NOT in our network. My bad for taking their word for it. They spend NO time actually talking to my son , yet are quick to diagnose and DOSE him !! The waiting room is dirty , the chairs are the most uncomfortable things I ever sat on , the receptionists are clueless and full of attitude !! The doctors and therapists here are wonderful. However the customer service in this place is an absolute joke. There is a woman in the front office that has zero compassion, my fiancé over the course of the last week has been treated in an overall condescending, rude, utterly uncaring manner by this woman. My fiancés meds were not sent in and she has been left her on hold for over an hour twice now. She has called 4 times now and is still without her meds. She is in withdrawal off of her psych meds and is suffering as a result of this woman's negligence and inability to feel compassion for someone in need of a small bit of assistance. Dr Cabisudo treated me and two family members. He was a wonderful doctor until recently showing me he doesn't care about his patients anymore. He lost a lot of patients due to the problems many other people have had with the practice. His turn over rate for reception is outstanding. I'm giving him and all of Vitality 1 star based off his choice of employees that he chooses to staff at his front desk, the blatant disregard for refilling prescriptions at all until you're totally out and just never answering the phones. Like most people have said already, my story matched as well. In July, I spoke to the younger gentleman at the front desk asking if there were any openings for Vitality therapists. He said yes and I asked if she was in my network. He said all the providers there participate in the same networks. I was really happy because it's very difficult to find good therapists around here and so I met with her then was told I didn't have a copay (later I found out I did and I was told twice by employees there that I don't) so I didn't think anything was wrong.. Until I received my EOB in the mail. I called and asked why I was told the therapist was in my network. The receptionist again told me every provider participates in the same insurances. I wasn't stupid so I asked the gentleman to ask a supervisor if this was absolutely correct because my insurance says otherwise. He checked and said she wasn't covered but that his supervisor will wave the charge. Last week I called to reschedule my appointment and the receptionist said I owed for the therapist and copays! I got very angry because not only do these people lie but they say they call in prescriptions, don't, then don't answer the damn phone. She said Dr cabs wanted to see me today because he hasn't seen me in a while and needs to make sure everything is ok before he can refill my meds. I said I'm not going anywhere until the charge is taken off for the therapist but I would absolutely pay my copays. The woman said someone would call me back and of course, nobody did. I left a message agreeing to the appointment and texted dr cabs about the whole situation and someone didn't get back to me until 11:30 this morning. I work at 5pm...... When I spoke with the same woman who spoke to me yesterday, she said now that dr cabs will not refill anything until I pay half my balance and now that I don't have insurance for the next month, I also have to pay out of pocket to see him and get my meds. The woman then said I'd have to pay the same out of pocket cost next month.. ok lady thanks for rubbing it in. I told her to please review the calls from the evening of a certain date that I spoke to the gentleman that told me the payment was waived. My fiancé was there when I made the call and heard the whole conversation but the woman said that dr cabs heard the call and that there was no mention of waiving the payment. So basically they didn't listen to the call. She then asked if I was paying with a credit card. I told her to tell the doctor if he wants to take me to court for $150 to go for it and then we will hear the right call and that he lost 3 patients today, not just me. They immediately canceled all future appointments that I received emails about right after I got off the phone with them. I am in physical pain because of money hungry practices that don't give a damn about their patients. I thought dr Cabisudo was different. He's not. Stay away away from this place. You'll end up paying them tons of money that was because of their own mistakes. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I tried to cancel and reschedule an appointment while I was sick with Covid well in advance, but nobody ever answers the phone or voicemails. They then called me about 5 different times to try to collect a cancellation fee when I had already spoken to several different people about the situation who said it had been resolved. The provider I have been seeing, Albert, who speaks to me for about 10 minutes a month sent in a half prescription for me one time which turned into a snowball effect with my insurance company, leading me to be unable to fill my full prescriptions and ending up having to pay out of pocket for my prescriptions. Every time we would meet, I told him that he would need to send in prior authorizations with my prescriptions to override the hold they had on them and he told me that wasn't his job and to contact the office about it. I have now contacted the office several times and nobody calls my insurance to send in prior authorization and I am stuck with either running out of my prescriptions or paying a ridiculous amount for them out of pocket. I also informed him that a new medication I had been trying wasn't working for me and instead of having me go off of them or try something different, he just increased the amount of the medication I told him wasn't working. Please go elsewhere for your Psychiatry needs. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Cabisudo for a year and he has helped me tremendously with finding the correct medication. He is a psychiatrist, not a therapist so don't expect him to sit and talk with you about your problems for an hour. He highly encourages his patients to see a therapist while taking medication, which is really good. I usually schedule my appointments for the morning and wait time is anywhere between 5 minutes to a half hour depending on how many appointments were scheduled. I gave them 4 stars because the social worker I had my intake with, Lori, was a little insensitive about certain things I struggled with and shared with her. read more

I am happy with this practice with the exception of getting someone on the phone and getting them to charge the correct copays. Dr. C. spent an hour with me when I started with the practice. He changed my meds to a long acting med which has made a world of difference. I asked for a young therapist and I have learned a lot about controlling my anxiety and panic. The hired a new person who prescribes the medicines after seeing Dr. C. and she really listens to you and works with you on any med changes. As I previously stated, getting touch with the front desk is impossible and if they call you back it can take days. read more

Unfortunately for my son, he was referred to this facility against my wishes by his pediatrician. 2 weeks ago today was his first visit. They never told me who he was meeting with, otherwise I would have cancelled the appointment before we even went on April 14th, 2016. Again the 'professional' they stuck us with goes by the name Ginger. Mind you, my son is 4.5 years old. Very happy child that knows what he likes. Yet, through no real interaction with my son other than 10 minutes of asking me questions, she diagnosed him off the bat with ADHD. Okay not a BIG deal, but when I strongly voice NOT to prescribe my 4.5 year old son a narcotic/controlled substance and you do it anyway telling me I'm wrong....PROBLEM! Got to the pharmacy and they asked for my ID. "For what?", I asked. They told me, because the prescription is a controlled substance/narcotic. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?....that's the second problem. I researched the drug that was prescribed and found that in a study of the side effects, almost every child that was in my son's age group experienced the absolute worst side effects. Since then, I have been trying to cancel the 2 week 'follow-up' they tried to force on us and finally today I was able to get through to someone. The person that answered today, April 28th 2016, was as smug as smug could be. I told him that I've been trying for two weeks to cancel this appointment and he said "I don't care, you'll still be responsible for our $40 charge for cancelling." Umm...Excuse Me? I've since contacted my lawyer. So, if you're a drug-seeking junkie that doesn't care to live or die, feel free to schedule an appointment with Ginger at Vitality. Disgusting way of operating. I started going here a few months back and was put on medication. At least 3 separate occasions, they "forgot" to send in my prescription, causing me to go without my daily medications which caused horrible withdrawal effects. The office NEVER answers the calls. It takes multiple voice mails to get a response. The "boss" who is Mitchell Cabisudo MD, is very rude and gets very sassy and unprofessional with his emails when I told him I keep running out of meds and nothings being done. He also sent me a letter telling me to find another provider - in the midst of a pandemic when no one accepts new patients. He has a reserved parking spot right next to the front door for his Tesla - I think that's insight into who he truly is as a "professional." They require multiple visits and even once on a medication they require you to go to a visit before renewing the prescription so they can bill your insurance, and believe me, whatever's leftover you'll have to pay. And they are not cheap. They don't let you make an appointment without paying half your bill either.. I'm pretty disappointed! I hope that no one else falls for this scam like I did. read more

DO NOT BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS. The Dr only sees a specific number of patients, so he can give them proper attention. Also has counselors \ phycologists, who are highly educated and qualified. I was seeing the counselor and dr in the same 1 hr. Visit. They were Highly in tuned with my concerns. The Dr. assisted me in finding other resources and provided me with referrals. When i moved to Orlando he helped me with the transition. One of the best practices, Drs, staff and location in Orange County \ Hudson Valley. This review is from real life experiences and my REAL issues They addressed my problems with respect and dignity. He had never met me, spoke to me for ten minutes through a live video and sent me off my way with two antidepressants. Gross negligence. read more

If I could give this place a zero, thats what they would have gotten! I had an intake scheduled on 8/18 with the New Windsor location, 2 days prior they call to reschedule because my appt was during the person's lunch (how does the appt maker not know that?). I rescheduled for today. An hr and a half before my appt I'm called again to reschedule... I'm transferring from Downstate and had to make special arraignments to make this appt, I made that very clear when scheduling. I even called on Friday to verify my appt. When I voiced my self about the inconvenience and that something should be done to accommodate me like seeing me first thing in the morning on the next day at 9am, the d*ck on the phone threatened that I needed to drop my attitude or they would not be taking my son AT ALL and emphasized that not only do they not open until 10am, that they are also the only facility in the area accepting new patients so he strongly advised that I watch myself or he would be ending the call... sorry, no! Call ended on my terms (and the idiot really needs to be updated because according to their own website, they open at 8am), I then called up insurance company and they referred me over to the Astor Home for Children center in Beacon (which is closer to my home too), and they were more than willing to see me! So instead of going to Vitality Group of Nonsense today, I had my 11am intake at Astor! read more

The doctor we see there is very kind and responsive to our son. He goes out of his way to respond. I can only comment on the doctor we saw, but he is the real deal and know his stuff. I saw Annie, a clinician there, as did my kids. She was fabulous until I challenged her thought process on needing "more help than she could provide". When you have pmdd, you are always depressed at the cycle. She should have understood that but instead cancelled all my appointments and dismissed me as her client because I was too depressed and a risk. Anyone who knows pmdd knows it's cyclical and it requires understanding what comes with it and that it goes away after your cycle. Not only did she obnoxiously dismiss me, she dismissed my kids and refused to see them. The office said that I wasn't allowed back. For what?? For being depressed and then for getting upset when they unethically handle it???? I understand if you think a client is not a good fit and/or you are recommending treatment that the client is not agreeing on and as a practitioner it can be frustrating, but discuss face to face with client. Don't just cancel all appointments in a system that then alerts your client electronically!!! Especially jf you thought your client was in a crisis! Way to unethically abandon client and overreact to clients difficult time. My kids had never trusted anyone enough to open up and her unprofessional cutting off my daughter who had finally opened up has destroyed her and made her never go back or trust another counselor.
