When they serviced my furnace, the technician said it was deficient and that it either had to be repaired or replaced. A B tag was put on it and Embridge gas was contacted. That means I had 90 days to fix the furnace or the gas would be shut off in our house. The repair bill oddly was more expensive than to replace which is quite odd. Repair was 7000. Replace was 5000. Who would you choose to repair when they can get a new one for cheaper? I decided to get a second opinion and the registered technician said it was a scam and the furnace did not need to be replaced or fixed. He had the B tag removed. He also said the quote for the repair was way above what it should be.

Very Expensive charges…read more! $23,000 Mitsubushi Heat pump does not work for 10 days with outdoor temperature below 17 C and it is under this company 10 yr warranty on labour and parts!. They left our house without heat !!! when outdoor temperature dropped below minus 17 C down to minus 27C on January 27 . The temperature inside the house dropped below 55F. My husband is 75 years old and has breathing problems. This company charged us $23,000 for a Mitsubishi heat pump in 2019 and promised a 10-year warranty on labor and parts. We did wait already 1 week for repairs to be done with 2 technician visits and no repair is done . Now the owner Brent wants us to pay $250 plus HST /per visit just to find out why heat pump is not working ??? Plus he advised us that they are not going to proceed with repair unless we paid for 2 technician visits that should be covered the same way technician visits to find out the issues and proceed with repair were covered in 2021 ( the same problem of heat pump not working in freezing outdoor temperature below 17C) and not cooling in 2023 in heat wave with house temperature over 80F. We have written installation contract with this company with 10 yr warranty on parts and labor . This $23,000 heat pump was initially installed incorrectly in 2019 manifesting the same issue where heat pump stops heating house when outdoor temperature dropped below 17C. In 2021 technician and Darin Best (manager at that time) did visit our house and fix this problem with 2 nd stage heat pump not working . It was free of charge as labor is covered by their 10 yr warranty as per contract so we did not received invoices for 2 visits in 2021. In 2023 we had problem with Mitsubishi heat pump not cooling our house . Only after 3 technician visits Doyle Heating and plumbing was able to fix the problem but for 1 week we had over 80F in our house. After repair was completed we were charged only for refrigerant ( btw over CAD 1300 - be aware that cooling agent is not covered by Mitsubishi 10 yr warranty even the leakage was from their faulty 3 valves) Now 2 HVAC managers we were dealing with left and we are dealing with owner Brent who advised that we need to pay for all their visits to repair our $23,00 Mitsubishi heat pump. Doyle Heating and Plumbing company is authorized dealer of Mitsubishi Eelctric (manufacturer of our heat pump) on Mitsubishi web site and they damage reputation of this company and lowers the rating of Mitsubishi products on the heat pump market!)
