He communicated professionally and timely throughout the entire process. It was great to meet one-on-one with him a couple times before our wedding to go over the order of events and important details. Leading up to our wedding we had no doubts that he would do an amazing job. His communication skills are on point and he followed up with us days before when we realized we forgot to submit last minute details. He made everything come together. He has a genuine interest to make sure that things run smoothly. Not only did he play exactly what we asked him to play and followed a strict do not play list, he was an incredible Master of Ceremonies. My best friend who gave a speech coordinated with him just a few hours before about syncing about 7 songs into her speech with cues, and he killed it. I had no prior knowledge of this, and it speaks to how accomodating he is and how he can make anything happen! To be clear, Brian Harris went above and beyond in all aspects. We wish him all the best and hope you make the right decision when picking a DJ, because is Brian is the best! Don't waste your time with anyone else.

Here is my experience with Mr. Harris:…read more (The wedding) Brian took it upon himself to omit the penny toss for our centerpieces.  He also decided to omit a goodbye circle  and exit dance. These were both agreed upon that they would be done in our pre wedding meetings. He is spinning words to justify his actions but the bottom line is that he also approached the bride and groom and ended our wedding 30 minutes early. Be prepared to make your entire playlist from cocktail hour, dinner thru the reception. YOU will pick every song and he will play them like an ipad. (The follow up call) Obviously I am appalled at the above and I wanted a follow up phone call to discuss. Our phone call could have been 10 minutes. I expected Brian to be a professional and say 3 things. I'm sorry. I should not have omitted things that we had agreed upon nor should I have approached you to end the wedding early. How can I make this right? Instead Mr. Harris chose to handle the call in the following manner: He spoke for approximately 35 minutes about why these complaints of mine are petty, small and irrelevant. He discussed how he has proof via pictures that I was dancing and happy. Then he went on for awhile that a good bye circle and exit dance should not matter to me. In a nutshell, he had total disregard to what we had wanted for our wedding. I am standing firm on my 1 star rating. The way he handled our follow up call is inappropriate and unprofessional. I don't think my concerns are small and having a goodbye circle and song was very important to me. Ultimately Brian does what Brian wants to do. Not what the bride and groom want. He makes no attempt to make a wrong right. Overall, I am unimpressed and disappointed with his service.

The up lighting was amazing and the lighting on the dance floor was perfect. I didn't want anything to flashy/pulsing for the dance floor lighting and he was able to do exactly what I was looking with that lighting. He never rushed us to do anything but made sure everything got done in a timely manner so guests weren't complaining. He was very flexible when we changed our reception entrance song two days before the wedding. DJ Neeley was great to work with.

They had lighting, sounds and photo booths set up. When I walked over to check it out the owner introduced himself abs he was very informative but I couldn't get away. I would've like to check the things out then ask questions. He was also a very close talker to the point I kept backing up to try to get away. It made me very uncomfortable. I took his info and pamphlets and he kept aggressively trying to get me to book on the spot, saying if I changed my mind we would be refunded. I explained that my fiancé and I make the wedding decisions together and he still insisted. I probably would've be interested if I had spoken with someone else less overbearing. When I walked away I asked my MOH for her opinion without sharing mine and she had some of the same concerns. We ended up not even considering this company.

I highly recommend Old School Entertainment. The depth and breadth of Phil Tucker's knowledge of…read moremusic across all genres is simply impressive. I traveled pretty far to have my wedding in the Cincinnati area, and I can definitively say after the fact that having Phil be a part of it was essential. We explained to him how we wanted our wedding and brunch reception to look and 'feel'--which was pretty abstract--and Phil NAILED it! Not only with the music, but also by reading the crowd and anticipating the day's events with precision. No easy feat given that we built in contingencies and asked him to look for our cues. Just as important, leading up to our big day Phil always availed himself for our questions/requests - and was real asset in our ceremony and reception planning. A true professional and a master of his craft!
