Uncle Rich was an AWESOME addition to our sons' 1st and 3rd birthday party! He came ahead of time, came prepared with a couple of complex balloons like Peppa Pig and Mickey Mouse, and was willing to stay longer so that no kid left without a balloon. His designs were so fun, ranging from swords to bracelets to hair pieces, and kids left with multiple balloon art. I will absolutely use him again for a future party - such a genuinely kind person who was lots of fun! Thank you!! read more

Rich is awesome! He has come to 2 of my children's birthday parties because he was such a hit. He prepared balloons beforehand to have extras for kids that arrive late to the party after he is gone. We had an unusual request for a balloon that he did amazingly!! He makes awesome animal balloons, movie characters, swords, hats, flowers, and so much more. He is very nice to work with and I look forward to using him in the future read more

From the Business

Specialties

I have been a Balloon Twister for over 30 years, entertaining at birthday parties, company and church events, family picnics, and anywhere kids are having fun! I can work sitting, standing, or walking around without a break for several hours. My specialty is making simple designs very fast to satisfy the waiting children as quickly as possible, or if time allows, my amazing deluxe designs will entertain both children and adults. My entertaining style is best suited for events where I make something for each child per their request. I do not offer stage presentations, magic shows, or games for parties. I do offer to teach basic balloon twisting remotely at no charge. Let me know your budget constraints so I can offer suggestions to fit into your specific situation. My wife is an incredible face painter who is patient and kind to children, a trait that is essential when a child is a little apprehensive about letting a stranger put paint on their face. Our weekends book up early, so please let me know as soon as you decide to invite either or both of us to your party! Call or Text: 630-430-3279 FYI: We have moved from Woodridge, IL, to Xenia in Beavercreek Township, Ohio, and we love to meet our new neighbors! Thank you for considering our service to entertain at your event! Rich Dunn -- The Balloon Bender

GFS is a good store to know about as we seem to increasingly have shortages of basic kitchen…read morestaples. I stumbled onto GFS here three years ago when the pandemic started and every grocery store was out of bread flour. This place has two different types of large bakery sized bags of bread flour and it's inexpensive per pound at under $15 for a 25 lb bag (as of late 2022.) Many items are priced middling or high... GFS is really a restaurant supply store so in theory you'd come here to find everything you need in bulk quantities, not to save on every item. A few things they do have are unique, such as $13 for a four pack of butane cans for stoves, and some large cryo vacuum packed cuts of meat such as brisket. I find small individual 5 oz frozen tuna steaks, and some items such as individual whole racks of ribs frozen. It's a very quiet store most of the time so this is a good destination if you're frazzled and want to avoid crowds. Easy in and out and never a line at the checkout.
