If you want your loved one to get the best of care in their final days, months or years, SugarHill is the only place I would recommend. My sister is no longer with us but her final days were filled with the love of SugarHill. The parade of staff requesting to come in to say goodbye to my sister was incredibly moving. It was all so genuine and heartfelt. At the end, as we waited for the hospice nurse to arrive, two staff members came in and invited by nieces and me us to stay and have dinner in their private dining room. We didn't take them up on it but the gesture was just more instance of the love we felt while my sister was under their care. If there was 10 stars, it would not be enough to express our appreciation to the entire staff. Please consider Sugarhill for your loved one. (Thanks Marty).

Sugar Hill's Memory Care neighborhood has proven to be an excellent solution for him, and for us. The friendly and caring staff have done an amazing job helping someone who was becoming more and more solitary turn back into his social and engaging true self through their robust activity programming. I especially love the fact that he was able to bring in all of his own furniture, paintings, etc. to make his apartment actually feel like home. The food is also outstanding and can be enjoyed in a gorgeous formal dining area in the original mansion. Sugar Hill has certainly changed my perspective of the type of experience one can expect from an assisted living community - highly recommend!

As a former home care provider, I had two of my clients move from their homes where they were struggling to maintain their independence, into assisted living at Loudonville ALR. Both of them flourished in the community, where I often visited. They enjoyed the activities, the staff, and they loved the food! I was so impressed, that I joined the Loudonville Assisted Living Residence family as an employee. My time here has only strengthened my opinion that this is a great community. I love my job! The staff is kind, caring and committed. The residents are engaged and happy. (And the food is amazing!) I would highly recommend Loudonville ALR as a great place to work, and a great place to live!

The building is well taken care of. The administrator has been on the job approximately 2 years, so the comments regarding horrid staff treatment do not reflect current conditions. They have live music performers frequently, dog visits, and a nice courtyard for outdoor activities (when its warmer). They have bimonthly family meetings for feedback. I visit routinely and have had no cause for concern. Overall, I am very pleased with the care my mother is receiving.
