The nurse was compassionate, gentle and thoroughly efficient. The Physical Therapists have been excellent, as well. They have worked me through a variety of exercises to improve my balance, strength and endurance. I am so greatful to be a patient of theirs.

After eight months with Kindred I felt very discouraged by the way we were treated. There physical therapist were nothing to brag about spotty at best (with care and involvement with patient) after great success with occupational therapist we followed with there physical therapist, had more than five different so called therapist that showed up what seems like they were there just to get a pay check, spent minimal time barely working with the patient and then they Drop them from there program even when still covered by insurance for more care. when ask why no one could give a answer. Now that we are no longer being covered by Kindred. Doctor request more therapy low and behold get a call from Kindred wanting to start back up but now they want a new up front paid deductible. now if they had not dropped the patient his now second Deductible pre-paid would still be in effect and not having to pay a third ..... hmmmmmm... sounds fishy to me ARE THEY HERE FOR THE MONEY or do they actually care for the well being of there patients. As for me and my loved one I have chosen not to continue with Kindred and going with another health care provider and I would recommend you do the same .....

I hired them to take care of my mother and companion ship for her. They were to fill out a book of what they did for her each day they come out, the last time it was filled out was March 23 and I let them go in Dec23 because of no-shows and no call over 5 times but still got charged. I put cameras in my house to upload to their ell phone but nothing happened. If you value your love ones do not use this company, I just got a collection letter in the mail in my name for the over charges. I called the collection agency and they said it should have been in my mother's name. Which they said they can not change it and that Comfort Keepers has to. I repete don't use this company they will over charge you.

I recently made arrangements with TLC Caregivers to have someone sit with a single mom's young…read morechildren (including one with special needs) in the audience so that they could be present as their mom "walked" to receive her degree in the PSC spring commencement ceremony at the Bay Center. Mom was able to participate in the final celebration as a result of all her hard work without worry and her children were able to celebrate and see her as a positive role model. The Caregiver arrived early and was present and helpful in keeping the children safely (and quietly) occupied during the long ceremony (since seeing their mom only lasted a couple of minutes!). I would definitely recommend this service and would use them again if there was ever a need.

Their employee stole money and an expensive bracelet. Upon advising the owners, we found they didn't have any insurance to cover the loss. We also found out that the employee was hired over the phone with no criminal background check. This is just a small part of the problems. Customers, especially Veterans, should be treated better!!

Mary is a good nurse but her care givers are awful. We were charged for the full 4 hours after only…read more2 hours of "work". After every task the "helper" would come to my elderly family and ask "what do I do now?". Very unprofessional and lacking true structure. Even with a task list many things were missed. When she left clothes were in the dryer, tea wasn't made, and food wasn't made for the family. I think the nurse Mary is wonderful and is the only reason this company is halfway decent. I wouldn't give this a 1 star if they didn't cheat and charge full time when their care giver left after 2 hours. First care giver claimed to have "gotten sober 6 weeks prior" and the second one "was very anxious and had lots of anxiety." When you're working around anxious old folks already worried about their memory and livelihood, anxiety ridden people are not what you need or want. Perhaps they have better care givers we didn't experience but they changed days around and supplied mediocre helpers. Nonetheless they worked decently hard and did do some work. Again we were charged the full price over half of the work because after asking for a task over and over my elderly family said it's okay to go because she was stressing her out.

We also had ongoing issues with billing....both accuracy and timeliness....as well as periodic unprofessional acts such as sending OUR normally scheduled caregiver to another client and leaving us in a lurch. If you are local and very hands on, you might be okay. If not, this is not a service I would recommend.
