Thankfully it only ended up being just a bad case of soar throat. The staff was very pleasant and the doctor was very knowledgeable. The nurse was very attentive and kind and if it was the fact I was in so much pain I would have remembered their names to write in this review. Props to the emergency room next door as well. The GPS led us there first and they new exactly where to point us to get to the urgent care. (They call it priority care FYI) Overall a great visit and would recommend if you have something urgent you need looked at. Especially if your doctors appointment is going to be a few days away or longer. They will take care of you and be honest with you. Kudos again for helping us find the cheapest pharmacy to get the antibiotics we needed. 11/10 would get sick again.

What a day! The radiology department refused to do my mri of my wrist. They were absolutely rude about it. I was given the paperwork from rheumatology at 2:00. They wanted to call me and make an appointment at at later time bc they were "booked." There was only one person in the waiting room. I was there from 10:30-3:00 for appointments and asked to please get my MRI today so I didn't have to drive back. Rhematology told me to go down there (I was told they could do walk ins), but they refused me when they didn't have to.... There was no one in the office. They just didn't want to take a patient. They figure they make the same hourly wage regardless how they treat people and regardless if they help people. This MCC made prob 5k on my from my insurance today, but they couldn't help me. The lady up front was incredibly rude about it. An older lady, heavy set, with grey long hair and a stormy disposition. When I asked to speak to her manager, she said she was in charge herself. She would email Kaitlyn maze. What a way to treat your patients. Not a place I'll be getting any MRIs done at. My insurance money can go elsewhere. Called and let them know how their employees were treating their patients.

After having an MRI of my brain and some bloodwork, my followup appointment with the PA resulted in no diagnosis and no further tests were ordered. Instead I was referred to speech therapy and told to come back in six months. I wasn't satisfied with my treatment so I contacted the University of Alabama Birmingham - who saw me in March 2024. The Dr. suspected ALS and ordered extensive testing including a needle test (which is performed on suspected ALS patients). As a preventative measure, I was prescribed RiluzoIe. After further evaluation and consultation, I was officially diagnosed with bulbar onset ALS in June 2024. If I had followed Emerald Coast Neurology's recommendation, I would have lost a half year of critical treatment. And with ALS, EVERY MINUTE COUNTS.

He's truly the brother that I admire and pepper with questions. Me: What do you say to patients before surgery? Bro: Well, I explain to them what I'll be doing, meds I'll be using, the procedure. Me: Then what... Bro: Before they go under, I ask them to think of a place they'd like to be and tell them to go there in their mind. As they start to doze, I say, "Don't worry, we're going to take real good care of you." All I know is if you're ever in need of a procedure at this Naval Hospital and Dr. H is your anesthesiologist, you'll be in good hands! This place is filled with other competent and talented doctors who not only work in medicine, but are tasked with fixing the peeps and their fam who fight for our freedom. Pretty cool stuff. BTW, Blue Angels Squadron is right down the street.

The quality of care that I received today was exceptional in comparison to my last visit. It can…read morefeel like a hit or miss but today I truly felt like I was heard when I was speaking with the provider as opposed to feeling rushed or like an inconvenience. The facility was clean, with ample free parking and for the most part - I feel hopeful in terms of what I came in to discuss with the healthcare specialist.

There were great MDs, PA-Cs, nurses, and care providers here. I could name them…read more I do believe one nurse ended up setting the healing and recovery of my loved one back. Only after this RN would draw blood would my loved one need a totally different electrolyte mixture. I found 10 flushes buried in the trash can as if someone were covering something up. Eventually I was able to request them off my loved one's care team. That same nurse gave my loved one pain killers all the time even when my loved one didn't request it. It was on an as needed bases. So then another nurse, projecting her 90 something year old mom onto my loved one's experience, got mad at me when I asked her what she was giving to them. I told them that my loved one is present and has a brain that functions. Talk to them. Ask before giving the as needed pain meds. The RN retaliated by placing on the chart that loved ones have refused pain medications. When clearly, each time asked, my loved one would answer on their own. I went to the charge nurse and MD team about my concerns. Like I said, the great RNs and care team there were pretty cool. They understood us. Kept telling us how blessed our loved one is BECAUSE they had company often. My loved one survived the month they were there in spite of some of these obstacles. Unfortunately they did not make it soon AFTER a blood transfusion, fluid overload, and my loved one is in eternal rest now. Glad for such a place to help the most critical have a fighting chance of survival, just wish every RN had the same goal as the patient and the patient's family. Some things that some nurses do are just uncalled for and reckless which can hinder care.

My husband had a sudden cardiac arrest. He was in ICU in a real hospital sedated for 3 weeks and 3…read moredays. He was awake 6 days before he was moved to Select. Upon arrival the wound care nurse, Deborah Rogers, (please teach her about silver infused bandages) came in the room and was removing his silver infused bandage from his pacemaker. It was clearly written on the bandage "REMOVE MAY 10". It was the 8th. I was putting it back on as she was taking it off. Apparently they have to change bandages when they get there. That policy and nurse Rogers were a clear danger to him. ​​His mattress has no sheet. The night supervisor nurse said they don't put sheets on the air beds. They had him in an air bed, but it didn't inflate on the right side. Due to that he slid out of bed and they kept saying he fell. In the real hospital ICU they had started giving him water and soft food. Select gave him NOTHING to drink for 3 nights and 2 days. I gave him drink. No matter what their policy. In the 6 days he was there they DID NOT BATHE HIM 1 TIME IN 6 DAYS. They kept saying it was up to physical therapy. Goldsmith is extremely egotistical. My husband was awake 6 days, that dr had no empathy. He said "I tell it like it is. If you dont want that then youve come to the wrong place". How about don't act like a punk the 1st time we meet. We wanted to leave but Goldsmith wouldn't take out his tracheostomy if we did. We stayed. Our nurse, Rosemary, said drinking your pee is good for you, something about T cells. On the 6th day we left. My husband said the place will break you.

The waiting area is clean and spacious. The check in process is quick and in many instances I was taken back to pre op prep before my scheduled time. The medical staff especially the nurses are top notch. Compared to other ASC's I have been to in the area, this is a well run operation that I have no hesitation recommending.
