COMMUNICATION - When I reached out to their team about my inquiry, they responded very quickly with polite and very professional communication. 2. MY VISIT & SAFETY - Upon entering the facility you can tell that safety is a priority with multiple check points and their monitoring systems. A very safe environment for any type of situation! 3. PROFESSIONAL STAFF - The team off nurses and employees are very knowledgeable and experienced in caring for the elderly or challenged patients. 4. THE LOVE - the overall feeling of this facility is amazing. Very fun activities for persons at the facility, Age appropriate activities to activate the minds, A very homely environment where everyone is so kind, it's such a great place! My Dad broke his hip and had a full hip replacement; both parents being in their mid 70's we knew he needed to recover in a place that would offer him safety. The team at Affectionate Care is like a big family! Everyone rallied to make us all feel at home and that's what it felt like everyday while my Dad recovered and needed full time care. The staff obviously love their jobs, it shows in how they treat all residents and the family who visit. Our experience was amazing and I highly recommend them for long-term or short-term care for anyone you love! Mary Schlegel (Director) is very hands on interacting with staff, residents and family. After having my mom in several other medicaid facilities, I could not be any happier with her care. I have seen other reviews here and took great exception to their reviews. I wanted to communicate, as an educated man, father, husband. and son, that my experience with both of my parents has been exceptional. The staff is friendly and kind, the food has been good, the care has been perfectly exceptional without issue. The Assisted Living facility is clean, updated, and nice inside and out. Living in both Houston and now on Padre Island, I am so please with Bay City, it has a good vibe, it has Good Hospitals, and so far, great Dr.s. I also found coffee shops, great Mexican food, a reasonable steak, and a great playground for me kids to play at.
