Last week, I walked into this shop and received anything but VIP treatment. I walked I'm a barber VOLUNTARILY agreed to cut my kids hair the very next day and did not show up. None of the barbers in the store could reach her (i.e the barber) and when I reached out the owner I got crickets. Wouldn't go back to this spot if they paid me. read more

They didn't do a great job. Missing some areas. I didn't realized that I paid for the lousy service... we decided not to go there again. We wouldn't recommend or at your own risk. read more

Came in on a whim as a walk in. Fate would have it that the barber who took me was also from Oakland, CA. We chopped it up bout the Bay, DC and barbering. Got a great cut and a free shampoo. Check J for a smooth clean cut, she got bars. read more

It is a good interior nice and clean. however they did cut shorter then the picture i showed them and messed up the fade a little towards the ear. read more

Reek's customer service skills were excellent and the cut was immaculate. I think I'll be making him my permanent barber from here on out!

Looking for a Professional establishment that offers a great and more importantly Comfortable Barber Shop to Get your look up to Par, I Definitely recommend VIP. I am a woman who has suffered for years with alopecia, and has spent hundreds trying to avoid the reality and simply needed a complete chop. Well I was in the area, terrified to go in because of my embarrassment. Well after sitting in my car for 30 + minutes, I went in and was greeted by the owner, Sabrae who recommended Keith Kuttz, who was sensitive to my issue and concerns. He assured me that after 29 years, he could give me a look that I'd be comfortable with... I was absolutely Amazed at the outcome.... Wearing a wig will be a choice going forward and Not a necessity.... I am so Thankful to Keith Kuttz for the reassurance and my new look... read more

I think i found this shop off of a google search for a Nail Salon. I ended up doing a little more of a search on Yelp on a Thursday. It said to download another app (forgot the name) to schedule an appointment. This shop had availability the next day at a time that worked for me. My son was in need of a cut from being in quarantine for 10+ weeks. I booked with Terry. He greeted us on the way in and wa sanitizing the area prior to the appointment. The shop was empt aside from myself, my kid, Terry. His other coworker was on the way out. Each area had a screen to allow the 6 feet requirement for COVID-19 and you must wear face masking in the shop at all times. He had a box full of aprons. Each customer gets a NEW apron then it's trashed after the cut. He took his time with my son and my kid just loves his Mohawk that he's been wanting. thank you!!! We will be back! read more

I saw Janine today for the first time at VIP Cuts. The shop is professional and the owner clearly takes pride in the business and cares about customers; not overbearing, just quietly concerned. Janine is at the top of her cutting game and asks all the right questions to ensure you stay on the same page. She stops along the way to check for satisfaction. She was great. I plan to stay as long as the quality and service is consistent. There was a lot of good energy in the shop. It was a great experience overall. read more

Do not go to T. She came in 20 minutes late and claimed she could cornrow but could not do a simple part and 2 cornrows even. She blamed the haircut for putting one cornrow on top of my head and the second on the side. One was thicker and she did not even finish cutting the fade around the sides. She left parts of the cut long and the whole time she was on the phone paying absolutely no attention to my cut. She then proceeded to demand 10$ more than her original price since it took her 3 tries to do 2 cornrows that I still had to have redone at a different salon all together. read more

Look no further if you want to look your best. There is a reason the barbers here at booked several days out. Professional, experts at their craft, clean environment, and will try their best to accommodate walk-ins. Making an appointment is easy on their link, and it is worth looking into especially if you have a special occasion you gotta look good for. Best of all, you're actually listened too if you have a preference on your cut. read more

Do not, and i mean do not go here and get cut by Brandon Owens, he sucks at his job, the cut was good at first but when i checked my hair in the bathroom, 3 of my dreads fell out my head and he tried to cover it up with pushing my cut back from the side. read more

I just got the BEST haircut, possibly in my life, from one of the loveliest people I have ever met. I am a middle aged white woman with a whole lot of ugly straight hair. I have spent a fortune at salons in search of the cut that Daniel gave me today. I wear my hair short and the traditional treatment that I get at a salon looks like the old fashioned, old lady tease out and spray. Daniel gave me the most perfectly blended, stylish (definitely not old lady cut). I absolutely love what he did. It is with reservation that I publish this....I really don't want to share his services with others. If you are on the fence, looking for someone, who can cut and send you out stylish and feminine Daniel is the one to see!!! read more

Moved to Bowie two years ago and had been searching for a place that could consistently cut my hair and beard correctly. Oh and charge me the same price when I when in. I have been to VIP Cuts three times, hair cut by a different person each time. Each person has taken the time to listen to what I needed, and correctly do the job with care. And the atmosphere is like being part of the neighborhood. Discussions barbershop wide are going on, with a lot of laughter part of the time. Highly recommend. read more

The cleanest and most professional barber shop in the area. I have a regular barber here but sometimes I need a cut at 6:55pm on a weeknight or 8 am on a Sunday---to my surprise I never have to wait. Seems like all barbers accept appointments AND walkins which is great. read more

Thanks Yelp! I was looking for a barbershop at the last minute and decided to look on Yelp for the help. After looking at what seems like THOUSANDS of barbershops, I finally decided to take the risk on VIP CUTS. Oh boy, did I get blessed to meet Terry and his awesome shop!! Not only, was the shop clean and professional but Terry himself was a true pleasure to meet! I made an appointment with Terry at 4:45 and was in his chair at 4:46 lol. Thank you, Terry for the wonderful customer service and BOMB shape up!! I found my new Barber :) read more

Post COVID-19 Madness Cut: Its been a solid three months since I was able to get my hair cut. In the current climate of COVID spreading, Terry has gone above and beyond protocol to keep his clients, his staff, and the shop safe and sanitary. Walking in, there are curtains between each chair, and all staff has on masks, and gloves. No walk-ins are allowed. IMPORTANT: No beards are being cut - WHICH IS HOW IT SHOULD BE! Safety First Ladies and Gents! That would require a mask to be removed and therefore exponentially increasing your chance, as well as the barber's chance of contacting COVID. Don't take the risk. Its not worth it. A beard can be cut and fixed down the road. Just do it yourself till then. Mad props to Terry and his staff for continuing to be an outstanding business! read more

ASK FOR TYLYER, he is a fully licensed barber now and does an amazing job. He pays attention to every little detail. He's a young guy out here making a name for himself. I've watched him come up since his beginning at VIP cuts and it's been impressive. Lorenzo is no longer with VIP; I trust Tyler with my needs with straight hair. But don't let that fool you he could shape up and fade any hair style with ease and finesse. Here is his Instagram handle to peep some of his work: tyglizzyy read more

My barber of 15 years has finally decided to go on his own. Terry has created VIP cuts to service the hair styling needs of men and women in the Bowie Maryland Prince George's County area. As young as he looks he has over 20 years experience. He is uniquely qualified to make you look great. From shabby to classy. His shop is brand new and beautiful. Dark hardwood style floors. Brand new barber chairs. Plenty of comfortable seating. This barber shop is fantastic. Terry is warm and intelligent and a hard worker. He has a myriad of subjects to discuss with you. That is if you can stay awake. His expert care has sent me to the sand man many times. He is great with kids too. Fellas you can trust him with your beard. And he has great advice for the skin challenged. He always gives me the hair cuts and his prices are competitive. And anyone he hires will also give excellent service. read more

A Barber just charged me 32 dollars for a regular fade and line-up. I feel ripped off. The barber shop itself is great, but this particular barber is bad for their business and reputation. They need to drop him from the roster. First of all, he looked like he just rolled out of bed. He wasn't even wearing socks, and overall he looked unhygienic. Also, he was a mouth breather that sounded something close to the snoring of a person with sleep apnea. However, this guy just breathes that way. Needles to say, that was the worst and most cringeworthy experience I've ever had in a barbershop. And again, 32 dollars... ^^^ for that. Disgraceful!!!! read more

Very decent place , very professional staff . Terry is professional guy who knows how to run a business . Highly recommended for trendy haircuts and good service . Take an appointment online or over the phone to avoid waiting . read more

This place is horrible. In a Covid world the new owner Kevin kept me waiting for 15 minutes despite having an appointment during a time which was not busy, so a "backup" certainly was not the case (didn't even have the courtesy to apologize). It seems he forgot about the appt and began to cut his friends hair even though I was not late. He then proceeded to remove my mask without permission and didn't inform me of a pretty decent price increase before the service began. read more

VERY friendly, attentive staff. Terry the owner runs a tight ship and keeps the shop clean and orderly. The barbers joke around allot, which I enjoy. Makes the time go by faster. They also use an "styleseat" which makes booking your appts a breeze. You'll NEVER have to go in wonder how long is the wait. read more

Terry's got a new girl in town. Her name is Toney, Yvette and she's the real deal! She's cut my hair twice each time flawless. The conversation is relevant meaningful and real. Give her a try you won't be disappointed her service and bedside manner is amazing. Generally I like male barbers but this girls got it. Thanks Tony and look forward to the next time read more

Professional service, sharp edges, great with kids, and a super clean facility! I highly recommend this place.

I've been looking for a barber that I can trust to take care of my beard. I don't want to travel into DC to one of those high priced hipster shops. I had seen several good reviews of VIP Cuts so I decided to give them a shot. I called to see if they could handle doing a straight razor bald head as well as my beard. The young man Cordell told me he could handle it and that I could come right away if I wanted. When I got to the shop about 30 minutes later he was waiting and ready for me. He was very friendly and got right down to business. As I looked around I saw everyone from preschoolers to older men and different races getting serviced. I liked seeing all aspects of the community. As I listened to the conversation among the barbers it became apparent that Cordell was still a little new in the barbering field and I got a little worried that I had made a bad choice. However, Cordell handled himself like a true professional and had I not heard the conversation I wouldn't have known that he wasn't a veteran. He gave me a great razor shave and trimmed my beard exactly like I wanted. He was quick, without making me feel like he was rushing. The price was more than reasonable. The only thing that would have made the experience better would have been a hot steam towel treatment (hint hint). I definitely plan on coming back and I can confirm that the other positive reviews are true. VIP Cuts has earned another repeat customer! read more

Very professional. I walked in and was greeted warmly by the owner and all the barbers. I had a few questions about Tyler, who would cut me for the first time. All questions were answered with a positive attitude and my beard trim ended up being flawless. I appreciate great customer service and good Christian behavior. These factors are pinnacle to where I spend my money. As a processional and entrepreneur, I appreciate these kinds of businesses, which are very rare. Thank you and God bless you. read more

Great service, talented barbers and family friendly. I appreciate this shop!

I saw a sign for a new barber shop- I needed a haircut, so I walked in. After being stared at for a couple of seconds, I asked them how much they charged. Then the owner said one of the guys could take care of me so I agreed. The guy just sat there and proceeded to mumble that he didn't "specialize" in straight hair and refused to do it. Really? Don't post pictures of people with straight hair if you can't do it. Needless to say I left. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the owner followed me out and tried to make things right. It's not a very diverse place. read more
