I rented this cabin to celebrate & surprise my husband for his 40th birthday and not to toot my own horn but.....TOOT TOOT because my hubby was so surprised & really enjoyed himself!! :))) This wifey did good!! ;)) We rode my hubby's motorcycle to Luckenbach and the ride itself is so peaceful, very scenic, & it's guaranteed that you'll see lots of deer on your ride to Luckenbach Lodge so be careful & keep an eye out. The cabin itself was super cute and very clean! I chose cabin #1 because of the tub and I am so glad I did! Once you figure out how to turn on all of the features for this awesome tub it is sooooo relaxing! I'm talking "Calgon Take Me Away" relaxation!! ;)) My husband and I really took advantage of taking our "spa-like" baths together during our stay! :))) We also really enjoyed lounging on the back patio and listening to the live music playing at the Luckenbach music stage, which is literally across the creek from the cabin. The cabin did have a mini fridge stocked with complimentary waters & sodas (thanks Paul), a microwave, Keurig coffee machine, plenty of towels, a portable small grill, and tv. Just an FYI, the cabin only had a small wall barrier that didn't go all the way up to the ceiling separating the bathroom area from the bed area & no door so having privacy while in the bathroom really wasn't a thing so for those of you who are newbies in your relationship, my advice to you is to tell your honey to wait out on the patio ;)) while you have your one to one time w/ the bathroom or you can just take care of business over at the Luckenbach stage area where there are plenty of clean restrooms for use :)). We truly enjoyed our stay at the Luckenbach Lodge and for sure we will be returning very soon but next time we are going to be staying more than just 1 night! -Rebecca out

It was Heaven and we enjoyed it so much that we decided to return for our 21st wedding anniversary this past February 2022. This stay was for longer and we didn't think it could be any better than our 1st visit and yet it was. The weather was very cold but the days were beautiful and cabin 3 had a wonderful heater that warmed the cabin perfectly. Our 1st morning we woke up to find the Keurig coffee maker was not working. My husband sent Paul an email to make him aware of this just as an FYI knowing we would need to drive to the nearest store for our morning fix. We left that morning as we had a full day planned ahead of us and to our surprise when we returned at the end of the day there was a brand new Keurig awaiting us at the door!! The bed is comfy, and the small wine fridge is convenient! Only people who spend little time at a cabin should stay here since there's no comfortable seating inside. Who needs it! There's wine tour guides who will pick you up at the door, and plenty of Fredericksburg fun to keep you occupied! On the chance you do stay in, the hot tub is splendid, as is the porch equipped with rocking chairs. I simply loved it here! Deer visited on Friday to make my heart happy!!! While here, please give Das Peach Haus a try! It's my absolute favorite wine tasting experience. It leaves the others in the dust!! Happy frolicking!

It's got all the modern amenities you'd want. Beautiful modern bathroom with walk-in shower (though the water pressure left a little to be desired). Comfortable sitting room. Cute kitchenette. King sized bed with perhaps the comfiest mattress and sheets I've ever slept in. There's a salt water hot tub outside as well. There's another rental property right next door in the old converted barn, but we still felt like we had a lot of privacy. And you're close to 290 so you get some highway noise (not from the inside of the cabin), but then again that also means you're just minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. There's satellite TV and Wi-Fi available for those who can't completely unplug. The rental owner left lots of nice touches like a complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates and snacks and a Keurig coffee maker. Just an FYI there's no range or hotplate in the kitchen, but there is a microwave and waffle maker along with plates and bowls and such. Price was spot on to what I'd expect from this level of accommodation and working with the owner was very easy. Would definitely return. Very happy to make this my 500th review!

This little gem was just the kind of place I needed for a few days in Fredericksburg. It was…read moreconveniently located and the perfect fit for me as a solo traveler. I was mainly visiting Fredericksburg to be close to Enchanted Rock State Park where I was going at night to photograph stars and other celestial objects. First of all, the motel reminds me of the ones I stayed in as a kid back in the 60's which I think were referred to as motor courts. The layout is simple, 3 long buildings, each with individual rooms, I was in Room #2. Parking was perfect for me as I parked right in front of my room's door. When you have to drag a lot of heavy photography gear in and out of the car and room, being so close is perfect. No elevator to ride and long walk to a parking lot. The room was sparkling clean, I think it might have been painted recently and the decor had a western feel with a cow skin on the floor and a Mexican serape bed cover. Speaking of the bed, it was super comfy and so were the pillows. The room had a small table and 2 comfortable chairs, the table was perfect for my laptop to use for editing my images and checking email and such. There were night stands on either side of the bed and a TV on the wall, although I never turned it on. The bathroom was great, clean and modern fixtures. It had a tub/shower, toilet and sink. The room had a kitchenette, a small counter with a nice sink and a coffee maker, a microwave was just above on the shelf. I found the 2 burner glass top stove which was stored under the sink and it worked fine for scrambling some eggs for breakfast. The fridge was small but enough room for what I needed, freezer needed to be defrosted but I kept my reusable ice pack frozen for my trip home. The only negative thing I could say is that while they did provide some plates, bowls, silverware and kitchen cooking utensils, at first there were no pots or pans. I called the main number and soon a lady delivered 2 frying pans. Sadly, they were in pretty bad shape, non stick or Teflon was all scratched up. I ended up just going to Walmart and buying a pan for $5. I would recommend the owners get some better cooking necessities like a pan and a pot. Also a roll of paper towels would be better than the Terri cloth hand towel they provided. And most importantly, the AC unit was great and kept my room really cold, even with 100 degree temps just outside. It looked clean, no signs of mold or mildew as some other reviewers noted. If I am returning to Fredericksburg, I will stay here for sure!

This cottage was a wonderful weekend getaway! Housed on the property next to the owners, it is a…read moretranquil place in a quiet street just a few blocks from the main tourist shops and restaurants. There is a designated parking space on the property for renters. After walking through a gate and down a short brick pathway, you enter a beautiful brick paved garden area that is framed by crepe myrtles and other plantings. I can imagine how beautiful the property is in full bloom (such as in Spring), as it is still very inviting and attractive in mid-July. To the right is the owner's home, and to the left is the rental. There is a small seating and swing in front of the double doors to the cottage. Upon entering, you look up and you're greeted by a large chandelier and the king bed in front of you and large wooden doors acting as a headboard. I'd love to have known what the doors were once used for! To the right of the doorway is a small kitchen area with a sink and a refrigerator and microwave (which are hidden in cabinets), along with a coffee maker. The fridge is filled with refreshments (waters, milks and juices). The counter has an even nicer surprise . . . a cherry/cream cheese coffee cake!! So good! They also provide some single serving cereals and popcorn. For entertainment there is a tv with cable and a DVD player. The property doesn't have daily housekeeping, but if you're staying for more than two days, they come every other day to be sure you have everything you need for a pleasant stay. With the quiet location and oh so comfortable mattress, I got a wonderful nights rest. This is a truly peaceful location that offers tranquil surroundings and a well appointed cottage.

We stayed in the Settler's Cabin. It was well-decorated and comfortable. There was a delicious danish waiting for us in the kitchen area. We made use of the BBQ grill one night to fix burgers - it was so nice to be able to just relax and eat in. We all really enjoyed meeting the donkeys that live on the property. My only complaint is the low water pressure in the bathroom - it made it almost impossible to have a hot bath. (I'm still giving a 5 star review, because I understand that being on well water can have an effect on water pressure.) We would definitely stay at Buffalo Creek Ranch again.
