Turned out to be a great weekly staple. Since it's so close by, I made stops here at least a couple of times a week for over a month.
Super convenient when you're just too lazy to cook.
It's traditional Bavarian food in a traditional city, both of which I love!!!!!
You can eat-in (smallish-space). But it's really more of a butcher shop/takeaway place.
The schweinshaxe is probably my favorite thing to get here. Also known as a German Pork Knuckle. It reminds me of the Chinese version of roast pork because of the crispy skin.
You'd have to purchase the entire pork knuckle at a lot of restaurants, which is a really too much for just two people. But I like that you can just pick the amount you want here. I usually get just a slab. During dinner hours, this is one of their most popular items.
As much as I love leberkase tho, after multiple tries, I haven't had much luck with that here. I go somewhere else nearby for that. Every time I've had it, whether it be morning, noon or late in the afternoon, the leberkase always been on the drier side.
Service is good, but best if you know what you want, instead of asking a bunch of questions, lol read more
