They also employ many members of staff which are always around the store available to help you whenever it's needed. The clothes department do stock alot of designer items and I've found these to be quite pricey although there are some good bargains to be had at one of their many sales throughout the year. Poor quality and terrible customer service…read more I bought a coat from Walkers for £250 and just over six months later the fabric is disintegrating in not one but many different places to the point that I cannot wear it. On contacting Walkers they have told me that neither they nor the manufacturer will accept it as faulty due to the length of time I have owned it. I believe that a price tag of £250 merits a garment that lasts longer than 6 months. They assured me that in the space of eight hours both they and the manufacturer had managed to contact and receive replies from every single customer that had bought the identical garment. They were able to tell me that none of them had had a similar problem. A true feat of efficiency but of no use to me. When I asked for further help they simply ignore my emails.

There is a bell in each of the chancging rooms so if you are in there and need something just press it and someone will come and help you. The staff know their products well and are always happy to give you demonstrations and test the products on you. They have a great funky sound system playing tunes to match the clobber. Great window displays and lay out gives you an idea of what to wear together. The nearest sister branch is in Cambridge. It's like a bring and buy sale but without case trading. They have several tables set out on the busy street where you have a look and if you like something simply take it and say thank you. You never know what you might see there. In the past I've seen jigsaws to ski boots. It's a got a kind of a studenty vibe to it which isn't a bad thing. In the current climate I'd imaged those who would have normally walked passed and balked at the idea of having something second hand may now not be so hoity toity.
