The signage should indicate the accurate mileage since this is a flat, paved trail perfect for visitors in wheelchair, or using walkers/canes. All trails indicates 2.4 miles round trip. Nice to have portapotties, barbecues and benches but they are all pretty close to the entrance. Most of the walk has a lot of noise from Highway 101. No water in the River right now. Don't know if I will return.

A safe place for children but please always watch them around any body of water. Just on the outskirts of Santa Rosa, Riverfront welcomes you with all of its glory. The trails around the lake a extra wide and flat. Easy for a wheelchair to go round. This is one of my regular spots to escape and intake the beauty of nature. I highly recommend just buying a parking pass to support the parks. If you visit a regional park once a month, it pays for itself.

It's got a great design how they positioned the dugouts and t their bleachers raised on a concrete platform tha wraps behind the 1st base, home plate around to third base with their snack shack directly behind home facing the field so you can see all the action while you wait in line! The only one downside i see is that its not got much covering so you get blasted by the sun on hot days on the bleachers. You can sit off the side on the grass down both baselines closer to outfield and under the shade of the trees if you like.

Growing up, this place was known simply as the Ukiah Municipal Park. I'm not sure when the whole Todd Grove thing happened, but it's the in thing to name parks after people. I'm all good with that. Some of the park kid toys are gone, but the giant tractor tires remain. What is it about a giant rubber tire that would get me to spend countless hours entertaining me? The parks iconic symbol to me was always the rocket. Now that was the single biggest childhood attraction for me growing up in the entire town. I still remember the day I felt like one of the big kids when I finally stopped my crying and summited the very top. I swear you could see the Golden Gate Bridge from there. Sir Edmund Hillary has nothing on me. . This park includes two swimming pools, plenty of picnics and countless trees that provide protection and shade from the hot summer sun. I took swimming lessons here as a kid and is where I conquered my fear of the water. I cannot even begin to count the fond memories of this place. From the family summer outings, to the yearly school picnics this place will always hold a special place in my heart.

It's a lovely and well-maintained little park tucked into the neighborhood, just a few blocks from the Plaza. It boasts tennis courts (and lines for pickleball, thanks Mandy L for the intel), basketball courts, the rec baseball field (where the Prunepackers play too!), some picnic tables, a kids play structure, and a parking lot. We walk through regularly and enjoy seeing all of the activity going on. I've also used the grassy areas for strength workouts with friends. Thanks for this beautiful green space in our town!

A state park with a good amount of redwood trees albeit mostly smaller/younger ones due to a good…read moreamount of logging done in this area to help build California in the 20th century. It is near the Russian River just outside of Guerneville. Redwood vibes similar to some parts of the Santa Cruz range or Marin Hills, but nothing that compares to the big redwoods in Northern California like near Humbolt Co or Crescent City, those are next level. There's a fee to park inside the park. Think it was about $10. It gets busy during the weekends and spaces can be super limited if you come after 11am. We were with a toddler, so we stayed on the main flat trails that go through redwood groves. It is very shady and well trafficked trails. There are a few loops you can join together, and the circumference may be a 2-3 mile hike. But you can do however long you want it to be. Now the trails that elevate into the hills are much more involved. It can elevate to a 1300 foot gain which is pretty strenuous. I haven't tried those yet but it is on my list to try. But even the easy trails that one day, was still beautiful and relaxing. To majestic red bark trees with healthy ferns all on the ground cover, fallen trees to climb on, large rocks to hop on was just a nice jaunt especially with young kids. We brought a light lunch and refreshments and were able to run into a small area with picnic benches. Perfect way to end a few hours steeped in nature, without having to be totally in the wild. Great intro for those that aren't too versed (yet) and to get them exposed to nature, ecosystems and wildlife. Connect with the world amongst which you live with but rarely see. Weekend mission accomplished!

While it's a relatively basic park (as far as shape and amenities), it's a solid start and much needed and appreciated! Most the dogs we've encountered are playful and well trained with responsible owners, but like all public dog parks, there can be a bad apple from time to time (talking mostly about the owners that don't pick up after their pup and or won't stop their dog from misbehaving). All it really needs for a 5 star ranking is a restroom of some kind and some Lights for the fall winter months when it's dark before work ends. Some folks also are hoping for a separate small dog park at the same location and the Rotary just installed some shade structures. Our dog loves it and can't wait to meet yours at the dog park!
