Caution! Warning! Please heed my advice and save yourself from an awful and disappointing expensive purchase experience. Let me warn you that if you purchase a cottage from these manufacturers you will be purchasing an inferior product. Basically you will be screwed. Vintage Cottages tells you themselves in there advertising that these are the cheapest cottages that you can buy and they are not lying about that but what they are lying about is, that they are 100% move-in livable upon delivery (which is an extra charge by a different company). That is 1000 times untrue, plan on spending another five to $10,000 to properly set up this unit. My cottage cost me $17,000 to set it up I did add an extra stove and fridge raider so it was livable and those tiny appliances are expensive but the biggest expense was literally making the unit functional so that it had electrical, water/sewer etc. those things are extremely expensive to set up and most people really don't know how to do it on these tiny houses, that was also a huge problem. The vintage cottage people do not help you, they basically wash their hands of the product once it's delivered. They get to walk away, and you have no recourse because it's sitting on your property. I saved and saved, I was so excited to have a tiny home and now I hate this tiny house. I named it the "tiny trauma" every time I go in it I know everything that's wrong with it which causes me great anxiety. The factory that manufactured this and the owner of the company are unresponsive, non communicative, Joe the owner is a bully and I do believe that I was abused and threatened by his verbae in the way he handled my concerns and request for repair of a brand new cottage. I had the pleasure to speak with several of his past employees, I found out that they would sell him down the river in a heartbeat. They have no respect for this man or this company. They say that the product could be a good product but the management and running of the company is the problem. It was a very sad unfortunate experience, please don't break your own heart, go with a different company YOU do have choices. Respectfully submitted, Angela Jones read more
