My partner and I have lived in the apartments now for almost a year and overall we have really…read moreenjoyed them. They have been very helpful in multiple situations that have come up. We had a really bad cockroach problem and they sent out pest control multiple times immediately. Our garage door broke and within 24hrs someone was here fixing it. Our fridge stopped working and again someone was here the next day, on time and able to fix it. It is a quiet area with generally nice neighbors. We appreciate how pet friendly everyone is and the apartments seem to be kept up well. I do wish it was easier to get a hold of them from the head office (they hardly answer the phone) but when they do its excellent service and they get the answers I need fairly quickly.. over all we are happy to be residents here!

suggest you read reviews they have based on their 'old co name': BK PROPERTIES (guess they're…read moretrying to start fresh, since they have nothing but bad reviews listed under their OLD name of BK). ============== Illegal breaking and entering TWICE (did it again even after spoke to them about it and told them they were breaking the law!). Never gave any of the 24hr prior notifications, and the second time when we stated we would take legal action if it happened again, their response?...refused to renew our lease and threatened eviction! (other reviewers commented the same thing: complain about something and their reply is to toss you out!). They then proceeded to keep almost 1/2 of our deposit when the place was still brand new, as we were 1st tenants and only hung a few pictures with 'single nails' and even spackled the small holes so they could put a 'dot' of matching paint on it (since we didn't have a sample of their paint supply). They claimed they had to repaint entire walls!...and even listed walls we had never hung anything on! plus charged us for some 'bogus' mark on a baseboard (nothing was seen by us, and if there was some 'pin point' mark ...she probably took a magnifying glass to it just to find one!..no doubt if there was anything, it was left by the carpet installers before we moved in)....I've never had any issues getting my FULL deposit back until we moved to this place (and I've lived in over 30 diff. apts in my lifetime where the units were always rented out immediately after we moved out, because we left the places immaculate, I won't even let anyone into my home unless they take their outdoor shoes off!), and some places we even left them in better shape than we rec'd it...as was the case here, where we cleaned out all the construction dust and dirt inside and out (even washing down the 'outsides' of all the windows from the construction dirt they left when they were putting solar panels up on the roof), we left it so much cleaner than when we moved into it, and this unit too was IMMEDIATELY rented (2 wks BEFORE we were even out! because the new tenants went and already had their mail forwarded to OUR STILL current address!),,..so these 'repainting' charges were all bogus, as with a new tenant moving in immediately they KNEW there was nothing wrong with the place that needed fixing up, and no doubt they just did the 'touchup' paint, to cover the few spackle marks ...IF they even did THAT much!...yet went ahead and kept our deposit money anyway! Renting the place out before we had even left, also explained why they also FORCED us to do the 'after move out inspection' the day BEFORE we were scheduled to move out! Since you are required to turn in the keys after the inspection, we had no choice but to reschedule our move out a day earlier, just so we could be present for the inspection (and believe me, and all the other reviewers who have posted about this, DO NOT miss being present at this inspection, or you will NEVER see a penny of your deposit back, as they will just make up bogus charges in order to keep it all!!)....whenever we asked why we can't have the inspection done 'after' the Sat. we were suppose to move out, our question just got ignored, and the same reply came back: if you want to be present then it needs to be scheduled for either Thurs or Fri (which was PRIOR to the Sat. we were scheduled to leave). Like all other comments stated also, the owner is bitchy and has even driven away vendors (we hired a carpet cleaner ...to clean rugs that were spotless but had to prove they were cleaned upon move out or they would charge us..which you KNOW they would have jacked up the price if you left it to them)...and the carpet guy told us he USE to have a contract working with BK but said he would NEVER do business with them ever again! (I didn't need to bother asking why!). Had I of known this, and read all these other 'one (lowest) star' reviews, I NEVER would have moved in (new or not....if you don't want to be kicked out at a moments notice or threatened with eviction, suggest you AVOID BK at all costs! You'll regret it ...as all these other reviewers have!). I also noticed BK changed their co. name to 'West Day Village' (probably to eliminate the high count of bad reviews people have been leaving under BK Properties, because a great bulk of the reviews that were one star (lowest avail) suddenly disappeared from view! ). VERY SHADY COMPANY! They're not accredited with Better Bus. Bureau either and don't reply to any complaints filed on there (hardly a surprise!). Find yourself a nice place that is PRIVATELY owned from someone who is appreciative of how nice you keep their unit, instead of trying to MAKE MONEY off of every tenant that comes thru (as well as up to 10% yrly increase they will charge on your rent).Also note that BK ONLY accepts money orders (no cks/cash/etc.) when paying rent..a hassle to have to get EVERY month! STAY AWAY....I can't emphasize this enough!!
