The charcuterie plate for the two of us, the small one plus two glasses of Riesling made an outstanding lunch. The foods served were all regional specialties except for the olives and I found a new kind of soft cheese which includes Madagascar peppercorns which was outstanding! Along with the meats, cheeses and olives there was a chutney, a tapenade, and a pate. All were excellent . Staff are happy to answer any questions and help you make the best selection for you and are extremely friendly and fluent in English. You really need to try this great place!

This boutique carries only small, independently owned brands, including at least one collectively owned distiller that we noticed. Although we intended only to buy the gin, we were swept up by the beautiful selection and ended up with gin, amaro, absinthe and vermouth I especially love that the products are offered in a variety of sizes, which is a nice way to try new things, and in my case, to purchase as small souvenir gifts for friends, too highly recommend for those who enjoy the craftsmanship that goes into small batch production

Boutique gins (made in Berlin!), scotches finished on strange wood (sauterne casks!?), exotic rums, even artisanal tonic water. Thomas took the time to show us (and let us taste) Monkey 47, his favorite gin, and explained the difference between "geist" (re-distilled fruit-infused neutral spirit) and "brand" (brandies made entirely from fermented fruit). He turned us on to a raspberry brandy (Brand aus Pfälzer Himbeeren) made by a family who farm raspberries in Großkarlbach that is simply sublime. You have to try it. They specialize in German beers mostly, but they also have a respectable selection of Belgian, American and European choices. 2 whole walls are full of every type of German beer imaginable. Some of the highest rated (and rarest) German beers are sold here. Looking for Schnieder Aventinus Eisbock? It's here. Andechser Dunkel Dopplebock? They got it. Their Belgian selection is not too shabby either. Duvel, Chimay and Rodenbach are all available here. Their European and American choices, however, are a little lacking. Are people really going to buy Lapin Kulta from Finland when there is a towering wall of more superior German choices right behind them? All in all, this is the place to go in Berlin for domestic and foreign beer. I know there are a couple of other places that have a decent selection, but Ambrosetti seems to be the cheapest. For example, the International Bier Laden on Frankfurter Alle charges over TWICE the price for a .75 L bottle of Chimay Bleu (EUR10, compared to EUR4.75 here). Highly Recommended.
