He gave me a couple adjustments and put a stimulator across my upper back below my shoulders. he didn't know me or any routines but i told him I'd slowed exercise because of the back pain. He proceeded to tell me "when we get old and retire we get sedentary". i may be older but I do get my exercise and don't appreciate a young man not taking a few minutes to know me and just basically calling me old. He told me to get a massage. He sent an assistant in to show me exercises. she did them once in front of me. I had to ask her to at least write them down so I wouldnt miss. then I asked about a massage and she said they were really busy but could look to see is they could schedule me in January or February (it's October). so what good is this for my current back pain. I'm heading to my regular massage therapist and checking back with my MD. nothing was accomplished in this visit.

Some time after this, I was really tired after a week of packing boxes getting ready for our UHaul move... I just took a wrong step while tired and injured my foot. It hurt every time I put pressure on it and I still had days of lifting and exertion ahead of me. I'm athletic and body aware, and I was concerned. Dr. Volz saw me in the morning, and after working with my foot I was able to stand and move around, and it didn't bother me almost at all for the following days! I relocated to Southern Oregon and have had a hard time finding a decent chiropractor. I'm in the military so I have years of damage to my back and neck. Having a baby two years exacerbated everything and I started suffering from chronic migraines and vertigo. I also have tmj so I've spent thousands of dollars on therapies, but really what I needed was a good chiropractor. My headaches are unrelieved by Motrin or Tylenol which lead me get serious about finding a solution. My visit: I appreciate that he takes insurance or allows you to apply the cost to your deductible. I usually pay out of pocket anyway, so applying it to my insurance was just a bonus. My initial visit was $100 out of pocket. In my opinion very reasonable and $50 for my second visit. He adjusted me so well that I actually felt instant relief from my migraine, and have been headache free for a few days. I could almost feel increased blood flow from my neck to my brain. And my brain fog is gone! As it should be after a proper chiro visit. Sounds like he doesn't have many clients bc he relocated from another state with his wife. I think this guy is the real deal and I would highly recommend him, especially for headaches and neck pain.
