If you need something like aspirin or paper towels at 10:15 at night sometime, forget about going to Kristina Market. Also, their ATM payment machine does NOT give cash back EVER from debit or credit cards. Hopefully these people will sell the store and the next owners can bring it back to a "convenience" store. I've never heard of a place like this closing BEFORE 10 P.M..!!!! Also, if you have anything against gamblers, stay out of this store. They have tables for people playing Keno all day long (these people also take up all the parking spaces).

However, I haven't been to Donelan's in a while, and I forgot I neded to tell the cashier what the balance on the EBT card was. The gentleman behind me in line saw that I was having trouble and very kindly offered to pay my bill. I didn't need that as I was just having trouble getting the new card activated. But it was so kind of him. I really appreciated it. With this country in so much strife, it impressed me so much to see one American senior citizen taking care of another. An earlier review asked why would people come here if it's usually more expensive, my answer is: if you have the ability to support businesses like this where there is heart in customer service - that adds to the sense of a small town community and makes you feel good about living nearby. Donelans also is a big supporter of school children including Girl Scouts - which is another great thing about them. It is usually not crazy busy and a more peaceful experience (not noisy like other stores). Parents with young children - they have the cool shopping carts attached to the toddler cars as well as mini shopping carts for little ones who want to "help". Love this store.

In all that time, he's never greeted me once. Never smiled; won't even look at me. He seems to be seething inside and barely tolerating the existence of a customer. The last straw happened a month ago. I went in and bought a lottery ticket and he went into a tirade about how I only buy lottery tickets when I'm in his store. On and on. Of course, it wasn't true, but it doesn't matter if it's true or not. No one should treat customers like that. There is another convenience store the same distance from my house and 2 more just a bit further. None of the other stores mistreat customers. Well, if he's unhappy with me as a customer, I solved his problem - I'm never stepping foot in there again.
