There's a great mixture between casual and professional, and a selection of fancier clothes for nights out and special occasions. Awear also offers a decent selection of accessories. They have regular sales as well, in which you can always pick up a bargain. It's one shop in which I never have trouble finding something great to wear. Their tops and dresses in particular are excellent. Up until recently, they didn't offer student discounts, but I believe that this is also changing. This is good, as the shop is probably most suited to women in their late teens and early twenties.

All of it is very tasteful and rather understated, with a lot of greys, creams and other muted tones. I found the clothes to be really nice, not too, too expensive but ultimately a teeny bit boring. There were some really remarkable pieces that caught my eye, but most of it was pretty but fairly ordinary. I didn't find myself being wowed, but liking the tone of the apparel as a whole. It's worth a stop in every once in a while to see what they've got.

I was expecting some lovely vintage inspired frocks. What I found was a store I would call goth girl heaven. There were lots of corsets, short skirts with crinoline that peaked out the bottom, striped thigh-high socks, plaid pants with attached straps, bells and whistles, and even velvet bell-sleeved atrocities that looked exactly like the way I pictured adult witches wearing when I was 12. Yes, amongst all this was a healthy selection of retro-inspired dresses. They were much more 40's inspired than 50s or 60s, with the main thrust being the nu-pin-up look. I will say that I LOVE the pin-up culture and style of dress, and this would be a great place for modern day Betties to come find their wardrobes. But overall I felt the shop was just way too costumey and not wearable enough for the average gal.

It fit like a glove and it definitely went home with me. My friend found a Mini Celine bag she'd been wanting for years and took that home with her. The bag was in amazing condition and a few hundred dollars cheaper than back in the states. Service was very friendly and it's definitely worth stopping in to browse.

It's actually where topshop was in the Jervis Centre and it has a smallish space on the ground floor - but the basement is an alladin's cave of clothes and accessories. OK New Look is low end rather than high end fashion, but the quality of the clothes is similar to what you find in many more expensive shops. And because the clothes are cheaper I feel more at liberty to buy cheeky and different items, because I haven't lost much if I decide not to wear them. they cater for different shapes and sizes with plus size, tall and maternity ranges and they have shoes and shoes and shoes. the dressing room area is done quite well with lots of little cubicle and they're quite long so you can actually stand back and look at yourself properly in the mirror. I didn't get that much time to look around last night because I ran in quite close to closing, but I still managed to buy some clothes and accessories, and I'm dying to return to have a proper look at all the shoes... also you have to love the giant shoe shaped seats in the shoe section! Ok so the clothes are not always the best quality but sometimes you can get some really decent stuff, I have a pair of jeans that I bought there two years ago still going strong. I had to go in on opening day because I had bought a jumper in the Edinburgh branch which had a hole in it, (if you read my other reviews you'll know I'm jinxed with this happening to me). The staff were really nice, running all over to find me a supervisor so I could ask about the tricky euro/sterling return policy. She told me I could just do a straight swap for another jumper because they didn't have the same one in stock, grand. I even got some more money back because there was another 20% off knitwear on the day! By the way, if you an employee of this New Look reading this review, God bless you, you must have the patience of a saint. I once worked in a Dunnes during the Christmas rush and I swore blind after that I would never go back to retail again. Being in here on a Saturday six weeks before Christmas confirmed this view. Having said that while there were big queues for the changing rooms and the tills it all moved a lot faster than I expected. Good customer service, smiley staff (despite how busy it always is) and a massive selection of clothes, two thumbs up.

This ladies section also has a some nice heels, at good prices. The homeware selection is quite expansive. The perfect place to spend a while looking for an outfit, or some new home items.
