I was here 3 days ago and Glen was a rockstar and helped me get groceries, my card had suffered damage and I am fighting homelessness while attempting to stay afloat with my 2 small children but Glen and his supervisors helped me figure it out and we learnt the cash register code together to get through this last month of benefits that unfortunately put on a food stamp card, which today got me handed nothing but bigotry and looked down upon. The staff refused to call in a manager and got very aggressive with me and showed disgust at my mentioning it's my veteran benefits...everyone deserves a second chance but this man pretending to be a leader needs a second chance at a drug test; stimulants were not tuned down with his marijuana vape puffs he takes in his smoke breaks, med patient or not it is against Walmart policies. I apologized for my sailor jargon and controlled my vocabulary, he should have as well but obviously he has not received the proper training of a real leader. I am appalled at their behavior and the crew allowing such a negative tone to dictate their work environment. I'd give one less star if I could but Glen deserves the 1 star.

They have everything from simple Bavarian cream to guava and mango flavor! It's hard to choose but my favorite is the mango donut, a simple glazed donuts full of fresh mango filling, it's heaven! We met one of the employees of the bakery and he told us how they make sure to have quality ingredients and make sure nothing is old and stale. They also make Cuban and Puerto Rican sandwiches if you want something savory, he said to call him ahead of time so that we can have something fresh right when we eat. From the moment we wandered in, the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. Not only did he explain what every dessert in the case was and how it was made, he let us try their fresh baked breads and described their sandwiches and the grocery area of the store as well! It was a personal tour and we were so grateful! One of my friends has family in Mexico/travels there frequently and was delighted to find some of her favorite soda as well as desserts (albeit with different names) here. And she left well stocked! Of course I had to ask if they had a vegetarian sandwich (as he was describing how they make their sandwich meat) and he paused a beat and then exclaimed, "That's not latin!" Oh it was so funny, we all had a great laugh! He went on to say he'd be happy to put some veggies on a sandwich for me if I wanted. We did ask how he came to North Dakota and he explained it was because of the hurricane in Puerto Rico awhile back. We told him how happy we were he chose Bismarck of all places. It can't be easy! We all left loaded down with bakery boxes and items from the grocery portion of the store. And were all delighted at how amazing their prices were! Seriously - this place has great prices. I got tres leches, a giant slab of the most amazing vanilla cake, a cup of what tasted like horchata that was a cross between pudding/jello in texture, and a cork screw shaped pastry filled with bavarian cream that I've seen reviewers call a cannoli but he was specific in the fact that it was absolutely not a cannoli. (I believe he called it a quesito but I could be wrong.) The owner also stressed that the desserts in the case change in variety daily so what may be there one day won't be there the next. All in all - this business is fantastic in every way (right down to the fact that the room was absolutely spotless and sparkling clean) and we will be back next time we are in Bismarck! I was at this store today as I was scanning a case of Diet coke it broke open and spilled all over…read more1 or 2 cans burst spraying diet coke all over me and elsewhere. Joann was working self check out and came to my aid immediately. After she cleaned up the mess she sent another employee to get another case. I waited for awhile and even Joann commented it was taking awhile. Finally the phone and she was told there was no cases left and they were going to check somewhere else. At this point I said I could take 2 twelve packs in place of the case. She stated well they cost more so she can't do that. It was finally decided there were no cases in the store. I felt under the circumstances she should have replaced it with 2 twelve packs. She would not. So I said after all this time now I have to go to customer service to get a refund and I have to go to another store all sticky and wet with pop. Joann went to customer service and got the refund herself and it didn't take long. That's not the point ! There is no such thing as good customer service anymore its ridiculous that this store could not replace with 2 twelve packs. 1 of the cans hit my shin bone and is bruising as I type. I realize this was not my or the stores fault but it should have been about customer service. This will also be made public on my FB page for many to see Cashwise customer service and how ridiculous it is.

I took off one star because it seemed they weren't as well stocked as other natural grocers I've been to in Fort Collins, Colorado, Cheyenne, WY, and Austin, TX. Nevertheless, pleasant and I was able to find most of what I wanted.
