I have been to many functions here and the staff are friendy proffesional and always on hand to help. the food is amazing and always plenty of choice. the surroundings are lovely and they have a lovely garden area ideal for wedding photos. they have ample car parking and security gates at the front of the premisies so there secure at all times. bedrooms are adequate and comfortable, breakfasts lovely and the resturant area is modern and tasteful.

At first it looks as if it's in the middle of nowhere, but there are another good couple of pubs/inns within walking distance just down the road. Room was basic but clean and comfortable - a typical 'conference' or 'workmans' hotel if you know what I mean but looks as if it does a good business in weddings. Large car park and looks relatively modern though still evident that it was once a Farmhouse, hence the name. Breakfast was included in the room that cost no more than one of the larger chain hotels, but as they don't serve until 7.15am and I had an early start, I missed out. Might stay again if I was making the same trip, though I'd possibly explore other options first and fall back on this as a plan B.

The promised multi million pound multi screen refurb appears to have fallen by the wayside, but far from being a character-filled picture house, somehow the cinema just seems neglected and the sound quality shocking.

I live opposite this cinema and I find it excellent. The seats are a lot cheaper than the multi…read morescreen cinemas and the cost of food is much more reasonable. You also don't have endless advertisements to sit through before the film starts. It's a small and very intimate venue and I've been 4 times in recent months. The only criticism I have is I'm a big lad and the seats are a little bit narrow. If only I could lift the arm rests I'd be a lot more comfortable but it's just a minor detail. They show a wide variety of films at various times and I find the sound excellent. There's also a small car park at the rear and if you happen to visit during the day, you have to pay but make sure you get the refund ticket and the cinema will refund you the cost of parking. But all in all a really good experience.
