The staff were really helpful and friendly, and had no problem directing me to the items I was looking for (and I'm a guy, so it's not like I know what I'm doing when I go to a place like this). It's a smaller shop, but everything is kept really organized and neat (it's even got "themed" areas, so things are placed similarly for whatever your taste). The prices are higher than other gift-type shops, but the products are so unique and well-made, it's worth the extra few dollars. I browsed around on my own, but the woman working made sure to be available if I needed any help- and I'm sure she would be awesome at helping narrow down what you're looking for if you aren't quite sure. Lots of variety, and ample parking behind the shop. I definitely will be back!!

There are many vendors selling food and they're all busy! After wandering around the market for a while, it was time to get some lunch. With tons of choices, and everything looking good, we took a little while to decide. We ended up with a chicken pita, roast beef pita, and a roast beef sandwich. We also had a couple different types of freshly made potato chips. It was all good. Of course, we had to have some apple fritters, perhaps the most popular food item at the market. The lineup went out the door, even though it was drizzling a bit. It was worth the effort. They were hot, freshly made, and delicious! There is so much to see, do, buy, and photograph at St. Jacobs Farmers' Market. The produce market alone offers so many great photo opportunities of picture perfect fruits, vegetables, flowers, and more. There is an abundance of great subjects, with most of them being very delicious We explored the market a bit more after lunch, picking up some fresh fruits before heading to our next destination. we used living fresh recently to create the flowers for our wedding in waterloo, ON (bouquets,…read morecorsages, centrepieces, small flower arrangements, etc). i could not be happier with the work that they did or our experience with living fresh throughout the entire process. the flowers alone made our venue spectacular! while i knew generally what my style was, i certainly didn't have specific design requirements or ideas. i gave tina some guidance in terms of colours and style, pinned a number of pictures that i liked, and let her run with it. after seeing photos of her work leading up to the wedding i knew that we were in good hands, and yet when i saw the flowers and venue for the first time that evening i was absolutely stunned at how perfect they were. she executed a vision that i didn't even know i had, but the flowers were exactly what i wanted. not only was tina a complete professional to work with throughout the process, but she was calm, cool, and collected on the day of our wedding despite the fact that it was total chaos on our end. amazing work, could not recommend her highly enough.
