What can I say? It's Walmart in a small town. I do wish they had a bigger selection of a variety of…read moredifferent things. In all, it's not so bad. Most of the employees are pretty friendly. I do like the new clothing options they've gotten the past year or so. It seem like they're much better quality and the styles look nicer. They've also gotten a better collection of plus-sized clothing! I do wish, however, that the employees working the self check outs wouldn't hover over you like a hawk like you're going to steal something. I know they need to be vigilant against theft but I'm not fond of people breathing down my neck. And I mean that in the literal sense.

This is one of the only major commercial stores in this barren black hole of wilderness and coal mining. As part of a "moist county" surrounded by beautiful coal fields, this store is operated by robotic staff who seemed to be on the verge of tears from desolation and cyclical misery. As I slowly walked to the cashier area, I realized I was swimming in the gray soul of the south; I felt like a wal-mart intern dying inside. But all I wanted was a drink. The mountains echo sad hellos as you drive past, and you will feel the obscurity of the air and gloom under your skin in the afternoon hours. Go to see wandering cats and to me, a cathartic landfill of rural agony I hope so much to someday visit again. Get globalized in the mountains.

She also stops several times throughout the store organizing it. It's something she always does, in every store we go in. Today, she had the worst shopping experience there and was treated as if she was a thief! She didn't steal nothing and never had intentions of doing so. But instead of the manager coming up to me, the parent. She continues to follow my daughter around and if she stopped to try to organize her things the way she likes them and preferred them to be.( As most people with autism she has OCD & ADHD also.) There the manager was popping over her shoulder asking if she needed help. My daughter literally cried and felt so much anxiety because of how the manager treated her and how she acted. When I asked the manager if there was a problem, she didn't answer me. Just crossed her arms and walked away. I made my daughter show me her purse right outside of the store bc the manager continued to follow her into the parking lot. My daughter had her own Hoodie that she wore into the store, in her purse, that's it. Nothing else! Not everyone is a thief and not everyone shops the same. This incident has bothered my autistic daughter so much! I'm truly disappointed in how she was treated. She's 13 years old! If the manager had any issues or questions or even thought she was trying to steal...she could have came to me. The parent! But instead she ignored me and acted as if my daughter was a target in her little game. The manager is so rude and looks down on others. It's a shame! I love big lots and me and my family shop there often. But I won't be going there no more! I'll let my family and friends know exactly how my daughter was treated too! It's a shame kids with autism get treated differently by a grown adult. A store manager at that! The cashier Hailey Saylor was so kind and sweet. But the white haired manager should be fired before she causes someone to involve lawyers. Bc of how she treats someone with a disability!
