We booked a one night get away to celebrate our 16-year wedding anniversary. Wanting to spare no expense we requested the Feudo Suite for its 6 person jacuzzi with views of Mt Etna and the Nebrodi mountains. Then to have a couples' massage on the day of our arrival followed by dinner at the Le Dodici Fontane. Then to finish our stay another couples' massage before departure. However, this is not how our stay went. Upon arrival near 1400 we were taken to our room where we were told that the jacuzzi was "opened". So we went to book our couples' massage only to find out that the Spa was unable to do a couples' massage since they only had one staff member. So we had two separate adequate massages. Then returned to our room at about 1800 to find that the jacuzzi was still on 24 degrees centigrade. I checked the setting to find it was set to 40 degrees centigrade. Then it was time for dinner, both of our dinners were good. After dinner at about 2200 we returned to our room hoping to enjoy the jacuzzi only to find it still at 24 degrees centigrade. Needless to say we were very disappointed. So first thing in the morning I stopped by the front desk and asked them to have someone look at our jacuzzi. At 0800 a technician came and looked at it. He did the same things I had done the night before. Then said that since it was "open" all night and it was cold, we would just need to wait. When we checked out at 1100 it was only 27 degrees centigrade and that change was only because the sun had been shining on it. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the front desk to which they said that I should have called them the night before. As if, I would want to spend my anniversary with a jacuzzi technician, or that anyone would have been available to fix it anyway. At this point we decided to cut our losses, and cancel our massage since we would have had to wait from 1100 until 1500. When you spend 600 euros for one night at a Resort and Spa you should leave happy, not disappointed. read more
