We ate here with friends last week, who stayed at the place next door. Very nice athmosphere, great…read moreambiance, it is a popular restaurant but it doesn't feel crowded or noisy. Food great, we had Flammkuchen which is an old German dish, sort of like a very thin pizza. So nice they offer such specialities on the menu next to the common dishes. You get your money's worth.
Our friends really wanted a certain dessert, which they didn't have, which is a real shame, but the rest of the options were yummy as well.
We had a lot to catch up with, with our friends, so we stayed for hours and were the last to leave the place. They never gave us the feeling we should leave, or order more drinks etc. They made you feel very welcome.
Sidenote, the waiter(s) also speak English, not just German.
I will make sure to eat here again next visit I make to Oberstdorf.
