She is not being watched to take Her pills are not being watched cause a pill found on the floor. Nurse RESPONCE she must be spitting them out. Hmmmm (must be) so not watching. Hearing aid lost .... Oh wait not lost cause it was found by nurse under her butt when her daughter showed up and oh now it's time to change her diaper. Should I go on. Make sure she gets her medication (you will have a better time with this patient!! Her room wreaking with the smell of urine is a sign of not being taken care of.

The staff is attentive to your needs, the foods not half bad, most are single rooms that shares a bath with one other single room, the color scheme is calming and they are always cleaning! I am so happy my mom has found a place she loves to live at and a place we're we fell good about and know she is in great care.

There are…read morestill a few care givers who actually Care about the folks still here and really do their best, but there are a LOT of them who seem to have lost their zeal for this job. They have too many people to watch over and too many other chores with very little help. The ones who are running from "Cottage" to "Cottage" are being run ragged trying to keep up with the demand. The rooms are not being cleaned properly. The bathrooms appear to be cleaned only when they become Very Dirty. The residents are being left to themselves as the care givers are assisting other residents with medications, eating, going to the bathroom, dressing, or even just getting out of bed. Sometimes this can be very bad, as I've witnessed residents getting into places they should not be. Many of the people who made this place work so well are now gone. Several more have left since this change over. I would NOT recommend this place any longer!

Perfection can be found no-where (if that is what you are looking for) but this place has good vibes as far as cleanliness and very nice Caregivers. They, like everywhere else, can get short on staff from time to time and mom has been neglected a few times, but nothing serious. I did expect the cost to reflect the care and have been disappointed from time to time. That's life. Every time mom has fallen (YES, old people fall A LOT), the Caregivers have always contacted me right away, even though mom tells them, "Don't worry my daughter, don't tell her I fell". With mom's recent fall, they called the ambulance because I was out of the country at the time and they took very good care of her. She has "aphasia" and ambulation difficulty secondary to a stroke, and she is near deaf due to measles as a child, so it is important to me that my mother is surrounded by people who are attentive to her condition, who will have patience with these incapacitations and who are genuinely caring and they seem to be. The front desk people are great. The dining room people that I've met while dining with mom have been great (food's good too!). I think you get back what you put out. My 86 y/o mom is sweet, respectful, kind, appreciative, and I think that is what she gets back in return from the Caregivers there. Although assisted living is not the way my mom envisioned living out her elder years, it has been a pretty good place for mom in her present condition AND my mom is relatively content living at Cascades. I struggled with feelings of guilt placing Mom in assisted living, due to our work schedules and being out of the country off and on, but at peace that assisted living is her best choice and we are grateful Mom is in a safe place with people who take pretty good care of her.

The one thing I would tell anyone with a loved one in need of hospice is to make the time to interview at least three companies and CAREFULLY weigh whether it's ideal to keep him/her at home or transfer them to the hospice facility, which I don't think this one even has. My close neighbor and friend was over quite a bit during the final week, and she is an talented RN who doesn't put up with any B.S. After Mom passed, she told me, "Jane, that was the worst hospice I've ever seen." I think that sums it up.

We had a number of appointments scheduled and felt either OK or uncomfortable with the places we toured. Then we found out about fellowship Square. We didn't have an appointment, but thought we would stop by anyhow to see if there was a possibility that we could take an unscheduled tour. Sandra came in to get to know a little bit more of the situation and what things my mom was looking for and to explain the property and amenities. Ultimately, she spent several hours with us. She took us to the dining facility so that we could experience the facility and the food. We were very pleasantly surprised Both by the dining facility and the food and the staff. Our server was Robert and he was absolutely wonderful. He also overheard that it was my mom's birthday the next day and when we finished our meal, he had all of the servers come out and sing happy birthday to her. During the tour, Sandra passed by several of the residence and knew them by their name Which was a very positive Indicator of how the staff treats the residence. The facility itself is very open and full of flowers and fountains and trees And just a very positive place. The apartments themselves are good sized and all of the amenities are wonderful. My sister and I will be very comfortable with our mom living there and it is a place that my mom also feels comfortable about. The fact that they are a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit or organization and a Christian organization was icing on the cake!!

My mother is in assisted living, and the Nayas, as well as the resident care administrators, are the top-notch, professional, and show so much care and concern toward my mother and all the residents that I know she is in good hands always. The response time to her call-button calls is very quick, especially since the facility is small enough that the response time is managed well. In addition to the horses coming in 3x/week for the residents, they plan outings, like going to.the Tucson Museum of Art, art galleries, a ballet, glass blowing studio, sight-seeing trip around Tucson, the zoo, paint your own ceramics at the mall. My gosh, what other care facilities provide stimulating and interesting activities like that? Most other places offer BINGO, bridge, and sing-alongs. Yes, the Hacienda offers those, but so much more. The.staff greet my mother with a warm "Hello" and a warm smile. They are patient with her, and take great care in helping her transfer from her wheelchair to the bed or chair. I cannot speak highly enough about the great job the Nayas do, as well as the Health & Welllness Director and the Assoc. Executive Director. It's a great team, and I am so grateful my mother is in a safe, warm, friendly, environment. The food is delicious, and there are comfortable places to sit outside, as well as the various living rooms and front entryway. It was definitely worth moving my mother 2,000 miles so that she could be in a place like The Hacienda. Kudos to everyone there.

The place is peaceful and clean and the staff are very compassionate. You can visit loved ones in the hospice 24 hours per day and it is a safe facility with locked doors.
