Wanna relax or get your work out done, everything is possible. Yoga teachers have all their own style and are truly amazing. One advice here, make sure to book your class in advance! Then, the place itself is beautifully designed! It is been done with a lot of taste and sustainable materials. Moreover, it is spacious and plenty of light, just in the center of Brussels. Who would believe it? Last but not least, the staff is AWSOME! When you meet the funders, you understand why this place is filled with so much positive energy and good vibes. Namaste! I came accross a few studios in the city, but as they say, its until you see better, than you know what you've missed, isn't it? Just next to the bio shop "Färm", Yyoga fits perfectly in this "chilled out- treat yourself good" area of St. Catherine. The studio offers four different yoga styles: Vinyasa Flow: Rather dynamic Hot Flow: My absolutely favourite, it's basically Vinyasa Flow in a room, pre-heated up to 35degrees Celsius. It's a booster! I don't know how detoxing it really is (I mean, that mostly depends on your lifestyle...) but it surely is mind-cleasing. You will feel different walking out of that class! Then there is Hot Yoga (which is more or less Bikram, same positions, same lenght...), Pregnancy Yoga and at least but not last Pilates. You could really go there without literally anything on you, just walk in check the schedule and do it! They have yoga mats, towels, soap, lockers, they sell yoga clothes, they just have it all... The Happy Guesthouse is the perfect basecamp to explore Belgium…read more We spent four nights at Sophie's Happy Guesthouse in Brussels and recommend it for several reasons. First, it is conveniently located within a five minute walk of Brussels' central train station. You don't want or need to change accommodations every night. We stayed at the Happy Guesthouse for the duration of our time in Belgium while making daytrips to Bruges/ Ostend, Ghent, and Antwerp. Each is within an hour or so of the central station and the trains are regular, quick, comfortable, and reasonably priced. Second, Sophie and her staff made us very comfortable. Our room was small but it was comfortable, as was the bed. There is no elevator but that was not an issue for us. If you have concerns, request a room on a lower floor. And breakfast was consistently tasty with several options. Finally, Sophie and her staff were flexible. When we wanted to get an early start, they accommodated us by delivering breakfast to our room prior to the normal breakfast window. And when our departing flight was cancelled by Air Maroc on short notice, they accommodated us by allowing us to leave our luggage and to pick it up later in the day, after we had checked out and turned in our key. So, what more could one ask for?

You get breakfast made in the morning and dine with others together on a long table. Breakfast is from 830-10 so you still have time to sleep in. WiFi is included. While checking in you can leave your luggage and explore the city while your room is getting prepped. She will give you some suggestions on what to see and where to go. They are all easily accessible by walking. She is very friendly and so helpful.

Michael is a great teacher and his classes are authentic; he has found the perfect balance between relaxation and challenging postures. He creates a safe environment where one experiment and discover his limits, both physical and mental. I have attended both his Hatha and Vinyasa classes; an inhale of positive energy and a long exhale of physical and mental stress after a long day. He also organises retreats both in Belgium and abroad, as well as workshops. If there was a six star, Pop Up Yoga would definitely get it.

Room was spacious (aka American hotel room size). Air conditioning blazed strong in hot summer. The food was expensive, but I didn't pay for it, so to my benefits, the breakfast buffet was to die for. I save the best for last: the location. It is literally 10 minutes or less walking distance from metro subway station, Grand Place, Les Galeries Royales Saint-Hurbert, water fountain, St Catherine dark tower, etc.. It is 3 minutes walk from a convenience store where I bought Evian bottled water (€0.75 each vs €3 at EXKi), 5 minutes walk from 3 supermarkets (AD Delhaize, Kam Yuen and 1 that is food only). There is a medi store and a shopping mall nearby should you need to grab a hair conditioner or a hand lotion. Well, Novotel didn't supply these; it only supplied shampoo, hand soap and shower gel.

What bothered me most was the service. There were three people staying in our room, so when I arrived, I asked for three toothbrushes, a comb, and an extra pillow. The staff member questioned why I needed so many items, which I found very strange. If three guests are staying in the room, of course we may need three toothbrushes. He only gave me one comb, and at that point I didn't even feel comfortable asking for anything else. I also asked about conditioner and was told that it was only provided to guests who booked suites or higher room categories. The whole experience made the hotel feel unnecessarily stingy with basic amenities. The positives were the location, which is very convenient, and the easily accessible water refill stations on each floor and in the lobby. However, there are several other hotels right next door, so I would rather stay at one of those next time. I personally wouldn't return.

Booked this hotel through Expedia and we are very satisfied. Rooms are clean and decent in size for two. It has a mini kitchen - complete with mini stove, sink, fridge, microwave and a small dishwasher. Washroom and shower stall are spacious too. Washroom also has a towel warmer which is perfect for cold days in November. Lobby is small but very welcoming and clean. It is a good reflection of the staff that work here and the clean rooms we have. It has option for breakfast for €12/pax but we didn't opt for it. Would definitely stay here again is we visit in the future.
