We popped in recently to window shop and what was a planned as a quick in and out turned into a solid 20 minute roam around the store. We found a few things that we liked including a great selection of over the shoulder bags, which is what we ended up purchasing. In addition to the clothing, they have a small tailoring/sewing nook up front where they create in house goods, but also can make alterations/repairs to your clothing, whether you bought it from them or not. Service was stellar as well. The fellas on the floor were helpful and friendly from entry to exit. Overall, while a lot of the clothing is not really my vibe, I enjoyed the quality and variety of everything, plus the service and vibes were cool too!

Definitely liked to see IH, Samurai, Momotaro for sale locally in Chicago, very cool to see it all pieces not through photos online. The only downside was the sizing options; larger sizes seemed to be sold out or not available across the board

I'm not really a, "shopper," I am more of a, "buyer;" but Richard had my 15 year-old and I in and out in less than :20-mins. with exactly what the kid needs for this upcoming dance-- and the price was right for a lightweight all-wool silk-lined Italian suit. We would've spent 50% more at Men's Wearhouse and between twice and 150% more at Brooks Brothers or J.Crew. The place was packed as usual--just chock-full of cool stuff. Another great experience. Just happened to notice the fantastic deco design of his window logo. Gracias, Ricardo.

My fiance came looking for maybe a tie or pocket square to match my dark purple wedding dress, but also wanted to check out the Oxfords and suits. He ended up leaving with a perfect vintage suit that will only need minimal tailoring, a pocket square, a tie, as well as a casual shirt, all for less than the cost of renting a suit somewhere. Plus, gotta love supporting a shop like this -- in business 11 years and clearly going strong; there were 5 or 6 people shopping in there at the same time! And Richard was hopping from one to the next effortlessly. In addition to clothes, there are other vintage finds such as paintings/photos, cocktail accoutrements, and matchbooks. Richard himself works most days but said Sundays he has an assistant so that he can check out estate sales himself. He obviously takes pride in finding wonderful and unique pieces for his shop, and said that everything gets dry cleaned before selling (so it doesn't have the musty smell of some vintage shops). My fiance appreciated the thoughtful layout of the shop. It is obvious that we will be back to check out more fabulous finds!

I think this may actually be my first Yelp review, ever. I worked boutique retail for years as a…read moresales associate/sales manager/manager, etc., and my sympathies and solidarity always lie with workers anyway. But ... that's also part of why I was so horrified by the customer service here. I came in at 5:15ish. The store closes at 6pm. I said I would be fast and just wanted to try a few on because I'd lost weight recently, they gave me two of the same bra and I went in the dressing room to try them on. Asked for one more size, tried that on and when I came out to see if I could try another kind of bra, *the lights were actually off.* I looked at the time. *It was 5:35.* IN MY LIFE, I have never seen it. I'm glad things are different now from when I worked retail and you couldn't even tell customers you were closing soon -- because there were times I'd end up staying for two hours after close with a customer who didn't end up buying anything at all. But turning the actual lights off a half-hour before close? While someone is in the dressing room? That's bananas. I was like "Oh my gosh, did I mess up? Are you closing now?" (knowing full well they had a half hour before close) and they were like, "Yeah, come in another day around 5 and you can get properly fitted." I must have looked confused, because I literally *did* come around five, and she says "actually 4:30 at the latest." Sorry, no. If you don't want customers arriving in your store after 4:30, and you want to close down at 5:30 ... don't say you close at six. Put that up on the door. Because no other store *on earth* has that policy. There are maybe four options in the whole city for those of us with a small band size/large cup size situation -- and anything we can find is going to be expensive as hell. This place, Busted, Rigby & Peller and Nordstrom. Loved that this place was close and regularly recommended it to others who had trouble finding non-standard sizes. Never again.

I was glad for the clarification and reassurance. I went in a day later and to my surprised the issues I'd mentioned in my previous review were gone, no more crappy display shoes and odor thank you! And the first thing that I saw when I walked in was the owner Robert hard at work and fixing up the displays on the floor himself. This let me know how dedicated he is to his business and how sincere and serious he is about custom satisfaction. After speaking with him in person he convinced me to come by the store again. I came back and bought a very nice hat. Thank goodness for good owners like Robert. I'm definitely a fan and will be back.

My niece and I practically picked out everything and proceeded to locate the salesman of our choice. We were greeted with what seemed like disdain and rudeness. Jeff rushed us through the visit (there were no customers waiting). When we tried to disclose to him the nature of the visit, he would cut us off instead of listening. He seemed annoyed overall, especially when we were assertive about our choices. Now, all of the aforementioned wouldn't have been problematic if he was actually good at his job. I paid for a tux rental, a shirt, and a tie. Lo and behold, when prom date arrived to the store today, it was discovered that Jeff hadn't correctly documented our order. There was unnecessary chaos and confusion. If you value quality customer service, don't spend your bucks here. Update: I posted a review fb as well to warn customers about the poor service I had recieved. The mister shop responded, validating their gross incompetence and lack of professionalism. Then, after they were exposed, they took down the fb thread. Again, I would not recommend anybody spend their hard earned cash to be mistreated at this place.
