The chef barely speaks a word of English. Good thing his lovely waitress does speak tons of English! She was quite helpful and cheery while at it too.
The bowls of pasta are rather generous. Don't expect anything fancy, though. These are simply bowls of pasta covered in a generous helping of sauce. No fancy meatballs, fancy veggies, fancy sides. Just.. no fancy fance.
The carpaccio plating was beautiful and the slices of meat were generous and lovely.
I ordered the fish of the day. Grilled. Covered in sauce. Edible. Again, nothing fancy. Neither fancy to my palate nor fancy to the eye.
However, them breadsticks were rather tasty!!
And if you dine during winter time, be prepared for the front door to be difficult. No, not difficult to get in, as in some sort of red velvet rope/bouncer situation. But rather, difficult to close as the latch is stubborn. However, social norms will force you to finagle with that door till its closed to prevent the cold air from entering. You might be spending upwards of 10 minutes on that damn door. Thats 10 minutes of not ordering, and not eating.
okay, i exaggerate. maybe not 10 whole minutes.... but maybe 3. but it FEELS like a long time when youre hungry! trust me
