This was our last meal while staying in Terrigal for a weekend away and we were not upset about it! The service was great and the menu has a nice range of fresh food items with a Hawaiian twist, along with an extensive range of poké bowls. We ordered the nachos chicken bowl and Hawaiian toastie to share, everything was fresh and full of flavour. I was also impressed with the waitresses customer service and ability to remember our order without writing anything down. I would definitely come back to Island Time the next time I am in the area!

Now it's coffee more burnt than beautiful and staff abilities are negligible. Just now I was asked if knew the wait time - approx 45min... clearly shocked I mentioned I was only after an açaí bowl. 30min later it arrived. My concern was that as I was by myself I got the impression they would have preferred not by business in this 'rush' (seriously it's the holidays, what did they expect) Yesterday I didn't even get served as I was by myself- although there was a nice apology afterwards...

It is clean and well presented and has energetic and helpful young staff. The only downside (and why only four stars) is because as it is in a small retail space in a very large shopping centre it has limited seating space which also means limited room for a large variety of choices of frozen yoghurt dispensers (other Yoghurtland locations are somewhat larger and therefore have a very good range to choose from).

So we scooped up our plates and bum-rushed it inside, where we sat int he window and looked at those not so quick on the uptake battle the blowies. My friends' brekkies all looked pretty good, but my bacon and egg roll was Lilliputian-sized. I like the idea of using a brioche, but the thing was the size of a pikelet, far too small for my man-sized appetite. What I did appreciate though was their liberal use of watercress, a vegetable that is far too often neglected in todays modern world of fancy-pants rocket and baby cos and such. Long live the cress! Oh, I also dug the painted mural that adorns the walls inside the cafe, a panorama of French city life, complete with big-nosed Depardieu-type character, a smarmy little guy with a beret and John Lennon sunnies, and some other guy who was Mona Lisa-like in that no matter where I was his looked straight into my soul.
