Sent majority of my lunch searching store. I asked employee and was directed to wrong area, had to ask again. Found them, waited in line for the 1 checkout. Spent my whole lunch already. I asked mgr at unused register if they ould be held until 5pm that day. I had to come back, I spent my lunch already just looking for the 1 item. She said YES, she would hold, reminded me that closed at 6. Went right back after work, waited in line again, Mgr register. I reminded her I was there 4hrs ago she was holding tights, gave my name. She said, No that was yesterday. I put them back. Nope, it was today. Few hours ago, I asked if she dated it. She didnt, she put it back. Told me to go look, maybe still there. It wasn't. She argued and Yelled at me while I was leaving. "I DIDN'T HAVE TO HOLD THEM AT ALL. What do you want me to do." No, she didnt have to, but said she would, knew when I was coming back. I expected a manager to do what she said she would. Twice the time wasted, still empty handed

They feature items for sale clothing has a goodwill there set up where some are a % off. They also have shoes, Glassware, Home goods jewelry and I have found vintage items for resale. Very Clean and reasonably priced. Volunteers help run this. They are on social media and there is also a store in Auburn. If you like a bargain stop in, it's always fun to look as the merchandise is always changing.

At that time it was just the founder Bob Miner and his wife giving tours. Now DH has grown to be a sprawling animal sanctuary that even had a short stint reality TV show at one point (really sad that did not continue). Currently, with all of the expansion, it is now hard for visitors to get a sense of how Bob started the sanctuary by taking in exotic animals seized by the Maine warden service and how creating a sanctuary for those animals helped him heal from PTSD he was experiencing as a Vietnam veteran. I almost wish there was a welcome video in the visitors center... In any case, this is an incredible spot to check out if you happen to be in the area!

We first contacted Hart in an effort to get children involved in community service, and we wanted to donate cat toys and food. In this process, we have discovered the gem that Hart is. The staff is monumentally kind, selfless, and just the exact people you would want to take care of any animal. The entire place is so clean in every corner, that you can be assured any pet you adopt from here has had exceptional care and love.
